Parking details

All LUSO cars are conveniently located at the ABM Airport Parking lot and are a 6-12 minute walk from both San Diego terminals. If you don’t feel like a quick walk in the gorgeous San Diego weather, UBER and LYFT rides are easily accessible outside each terminal. There is no shuttle.

  • Can I let someone else drive the car?
    Only the person who rents the car is insured to drive the vehicle. If you expect that someone else might drive the vehicle, simply upload their valid driver license to the TURO app. It’s very easy to do. Unfortunately, failure to do this will cause insurance to be void, and you will be personally liable for the full cost of any damage.
  • How do after-hours pickups and drop-offs work?
    We provide convenient options for easy after-hours pickup and drop-off. After booking we will contact you with more details.
  • Who is LUSO?

  • What if there is damage to the vehicle or I get into an accident?
    Please notify us of any damage or accidents that happen during your rental. We appreciate your honesty and will work with you to solve the problem.
  • Need to pick up the car early?
    Simply log into the app and change your pick-up time. Insurance coverage is only valid during the booked time listed on the app. We kindly ask that if you need to pick up the vehicle early that you go into the TURO app and adjust your rental time accordingly. It’s very easy to do. (TURO does not want us to release a vehicle to a renter unless the rental period has started.) Likewise, if you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage.
  • Returning a car late?
    If you will be late returning a vehicle, you must call and notify TURO at 1-866-735-2901 so that you will be protected with insurance coverage. Please note that sometimes a vehicle has back-to-back rentals and can be going out only an hour after it’s returned. Any late return will lead to a late return fee according to Turo regulations.
  • Can I take the car into Mexico?
    Absolutely Not. TURO's insurance policy does not cover vehicles outside the USA. This is strictly prohibited.

My second time using Luso on Turo in the past 10 months. The A3 convertible was ready when I arrived. Perfect car for a day's worth of visits to Coronado and La Jolla. Dropped off the car this morning and was checked out in a minute or less. The 5-10 minute walk back to the airport terminal is easy in nice weather. Thanks Luso!

Everything about the experience was perfect. This was my first time using the service, and the folks at LUSO could not have been more helpful, including arranging to have someone onsite to meet me because I was worried I wouldn't find the car. The car was sparkling clean, the drop off and pick up super easy, but mostly the customer services was above and beyond. I would certainly use them again.
