The 2.0L Twinpower Turbo puts out 240 hp and 255lb-ft torque, the torque comes in early at around 1450RPM. This drop top deuce feels plenty tight as we've come to expect from BMW. The steering is graceful and balanced, while the 228i isn't a true sports car, it behaves like one, and it does so while offering you a decent trunk and a reasonable back seat. Compared to the older 1-series, The old stubby nub has been massaged out with a little extra length in the sideview. BMW says the 2er convertible is a stronger, swifter successor to the 1-Series. On a beautiful sunny day, it just makes you want to get the roof down, get in, and drive.
