Parking details

Marvin has dedicated parking in Lovejoy Garage located at 1331 NW Lovejoy Street, Portland OR 97209. The garage can be most easily accessed by walking up the car ramp or heading up through Safeway. He is parked on the P4 or P5 parking level (the first level is for Safeway customers) in spots 401-556. His keys stay inside, and hand-off can be done remotely to unlock at the start of your trip! It's cool and makes renting super easy as I can accommodate just about all pick-up or drop-off time that works for you. If you're coming from Portland International Airport (PDX) Downtown Portland is also easy to access. Just hop on the red line MAX ($2.50) and get off at either the downtown China Town stop and walk, or the Galleria/SW 10th Ave Max Station and transfer to either the NS Line or the A-loop of the street car (same ticket). Then exit at NW 10th and Johnson street and walk the 5 blocks to the lot.

Guidelines

* Pets: Pets may be considered if asked ahead of time so that a seat cover can be provided. Damage and excess fur may result in additional cleaning/damage charges at end of trip. * Smoking: Not allowed ever in Turo cars. Neither tobacco or electronic. You will get charged a $250 cleaning fee if evidence of smoking is found. * Fuel: Anderson will always be full of gas at the start of your trip. Please refuel when done to avoid additional charges and a $10 fueling fee. This car requires 92 octane. * Driving: Please be extra careful when driving around. Anderson is very low to the ground and Portland has many high curbs. He's a little car and does not need much space to park. Please be careful with his front end!

Faqs

  • Why does the MINI need premium fuel?
The turbo in the MINI Cooper S gives the engine higher compression which requires higher grade food. But on the upside, it makes him way more fun to motor around in!
  • Can you accommodate last minute trips?
Yes absolutely! With the remote lock/unlock you can pick him up and return at anytime that is convenient for you. I try to instantly respond to trip requests, so if you don't get a response in under an hour please feel free to call or text me directly.
  • Who should I contact if I'd like to buy or sell a home in Oregon?
Just talk to my dad. His business cards are inside, feel free to take one.
  • What passes are needed in Oregon?
There are no toll roads or bridges to worry about. However, many mountain trails require a Northwest Forest Pass, and if you're heading to the snow a Sno-Park permit is required in designated Sno-Parks from November 1 – April 30. If you need these passes just let dad know. He may have one which can be borrowed for the trip.

Fun driving a great little car! Bluetooth was a plus in a 9 year old car. Would definitely do this again for a weekend getaway.

Took "Marvin" the Mini Cooper out to Cannon Beach and Astoria for my first time using Turo and it was great! Easy pickup and return, car was and easy to drive and was big enough for the two of us and our luggage. Samuel was a great communicator and helped me figure things out with the check out process as it was my first time. Loved that we could play our own music on the Bluetooth while on the road. Will rent again from him if I come back!

Great experience with Samuel. Enjoyed zipping around Portland and the mountains in the little 6 Speed Turbo Mini! Take note, this car is fun to drive but noisy on the highway. It’s comfortable, clean, has low miles and both responsive handling and acceleration. It’s got a great aggressive growl, the dual moon roofs are a total pleasure and the A/C blasts cold. Not to mention he includes a complimentary phone mount and FM transmitter to get your phone connected to the Bluetooth. Would deal Samuel again in a heartbeat.

Sam was very responsive and accommodating and the pick-up and drop off was super easy. The Mini is fun to drive and looks really cool. All in all a great experience, I can definitely recommend it!

Had a great trip in Samuel’s Mini Cooper S, fun & zippy little car that makes all the right noises! Driving it to the falls & around Mt. Hood really made me miss my old one. Samuel himself was easy to communicate with and helped make my first experience with Turo nice and smooth.
