Looking for a German car at the Airport Rental Counter? Maybe hard to find. But here it is on Turo! In my opinion, this Alltrack's special features are (1) the adaptive cruise control that follows the car in front & keeps a safe distance, (2) automatic emergency braking but I don't suggest testing it, (3) parking assist like Terminator taking over your steering controls to parallel park, (4) panoramic glass roof for all passengers to enjoy the sky & mountain views, and (5) cornering lights that light up dark corners on dark city streets. In general, Alltracks have great handling, very good snow & dirt capability, huge cargo capacity, solid German engineering & build quality, modern technology, and fun turbocharged performance.
So, if you want go-anywhere capability in a fun-to-drive non-SUV wagon, the all new Golf Alltrack is the ride for you—and it’s a 10Best winner, too. A 170-hp 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder pairs with a six-speed automatic. It is a full 2 seconds faster 0-60 at 8.5 sec over class-competitor Subaru Outback's 10.5 sec. The 4Motion All-Wheel-Drive system and raised suspension provides 6.9 inches of ground clearance, but it doesn’t deteriorate the Alltrack’s athletic attitude. Four selectable drive modes (normal, sport, custom, and off-road w/hill descent) await your next adventure!
Consumer Reports: "The Golf Alltrack is more of a street machine than a dogged off-roader. One of its true virtues is that it carves up curvy sections of blacktop with the eagerness of a regular Golf, feeling taut and nimble thanks to ideally weighted steering and nicely controlled body roll. It truly is a joy to drive.
Long road-trip highway miles are soothed by firm, satisfying seats and a composed ride, with the Alltrack feeling planted, secure, and substantial. Compared with typical small SUVs, the Alltrack is quieter than a Mazda CX-5 and on par with a Ford Escape and Outback. Controls are simple and well-designed, the infotainment system is intuitive, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility come standard...
No question, the VW feels more premium and fun to drive than any of the taller, small mainstream-branded SUVs. And it also bests the Outback when it comes to feeling more upscale—and the Alltrack is quicker and slightly more fuel efficient.
... the Alltrack delivers a most satisfying driving experience with a European flair and sophistication."
Adaptive cruise control (automatically keeps safe distance with the car in front)

DO NOT USE SNOW CHAINS!
Snow chains will damage the 4 wheel drive system and the repair cost is hefty. The Alltrack is equipped with All Season M+S tires, rated for both mud & snow.

Turo Cleaning Policy
We expect hosts to provide guests with a clean car. In turn, guests must return the car in the same condition in which they received it or as close to clean as possible. If a guest does not want to accept a car because they find it to be unacceptably dirty, they should not begin their trip. Instead, they should contact Customer Support so we can help them address the issue. If a host receives a dirty car from a guest, they can charge the guest for cleaning fees in two ways. If the host wishes to charge less than $50 for cleaning, they can use the Reimbursement tool. If the request is more than $50, the host will have to contact Customer Support...(12/2018)
