Description

Best car for local or cross-country round trips. Drive alone in HOV lanes in AZ. Extra miles are only 0.50. If you do not have Re-charging accounts, you can usually use ours. Let the car do most of the freeway driving and more and more on surface street as the updates are installed over-the-air from time-to-time. You supervise the car’s driving and take over seamlessly whenever needed... Glass roof for star gazing. 100% IR and UV filter to keep you cool from direct sunlight overhead. Tesla Model 3 with Partial Premium interior has a range of 210 miles at 60 mph on a flat freeway with no headwind. The navigator tells you how long you need to stay at each Supercharger and how much fuel you should have on arrival. It warns you to slow down if needed to make it to your destination charger. 12-way power adjustable black vinyl seats. No engine noise. A front trunk. Most controls on a touch screen. Surround sound from your cellphone. Up to 3 approved Turo drivers cab have all the settings go back to their last saved preference as soon as they open the driver’s door. Adaptive cruise or Auto pilot will do much of the driving while you supervise. Smoothest way to take over driving is a light tap on the brakes. You must read all safety warnings online or on the Tesla in-dash video before using auto pilot. It is not fully self-driving yet. You must pay full attention at all times and be ready to take over at any moment. To me, it seems safer and less fatiguing to drive with Auto Pilot than normal driving. Safety data is in from over a million miles per day for years, and auto pilot with driver supervision causes less accidents than human-driven cars. Tesla with Autopilot and a human driver supervisor is among the safest makes of all cars by US government ratings. This car has prior damage on 1 or more body panels. It will be fully photo-documented in your trip. We have reduced the rent $20 per day compared to our white model 3.

Guidelines

Washing the exterior car is not necessary. Just take good care of it. If you prefer to wash it on a long rental, we will provide up to $10 refund after each 7 days of rental. All I ask is that you provide proof that you used hand wash, waterless wash, or a touchless automated car wash to protect the paint. Faqs

  • How can I select an EV station (my homework)?
Your job is to find one EV station at or within 4 miles of your selected meeting location. Before we meet, please discover whether your host is open to you parking near an available electric circuit and using it. 110V costs about 10 cents per hour. 220V costs about 60 cents per hour on their bill. If they have a 30-90 Amp home EV station then they probably know their cost. Please find an interactive Tesla EV station finder online. Or simply download the free PlugShare app. Set your car to Tesla Model 3 and set the filters to match that car or to Tesla superstations, J1772, and Tesla destination stations. Set free stations only to off. Find a station within 4 miles of your selected meeting spot. Text it to us, and we will approve it or offer feedback. That is where we will provide a brief orientation. Are there better stations? YES! Here is your priority list: 1. A circuit at your work or place of stay. So easy to simply plug in every time you arrive. 110V. 220V. Welder. Dryer )3-prong only without an adapter). Or EV station. 2. Tesla Supercharger (only 3 in The Valley so far). N PHX. N SCOTTSDALE. Biltmore PHX. With simple plug and play, charging villages to explore, and a maximum charge rate of 200-500 miles per hour, these are a dream when you are near them. 3. . Tesla destination stations. About 100 available. Mostly at hotels. Usually just plug in. 3. J1772. Best if there are multiple stations at the same address to help avoid all-blocked or all-used situations. These may require use of our membership cards or pay-for-use. 4. Any public or private station you have access to. They tend to be in employer and apartment parking, paid parking garages, shopping centers, or commercial back alleys. We do provide tech support on as as-is, as-available basis. We strongly prefer that you make a charging plan, present is your plan, and then let us provide feedback. In other words, please be as independent as you are able, and then ask us for specific feedback,

David is very friendly and helped me a lot with this trip. He provided a quick tutorial before we started the trip.

Jenn U.Nov 26, 2019

I got the feeling that David could use a bit more experience, and will have good luck in the future after streamlining his process. However, our trip began a little rough around the edges. We chose the car because we are Tesla drivers at home and in the listing it noted airport delivery. In my experience with other hosts across the country, they leave the car in the airport parking garage and unlock remotely for guests upon arrival. David arrived 45 minutes late to the airport and said that the airport wouldn't allow for us to do the checkout process on property. So he wanted to drive us to a nearby hotel to perform the checkout. This felt misleading since the profile says Airport Delivery, and we were extremely late to a meeting because of the tardiness. Once we arrived at the hotel we completed the checkout process, and after we parted ways he became extremely worried that he didn't take pictures of each of the Tesla charging connectors. Come to find out, the connectors weren't even in the car. I've never had a host even mention the connectors. Just seems like an odd thing. The car itself is lovely. Clean interior, and only minor scratches on the exterior. Tesla's make for great Turo rides because you don't have to worry about gas stations in an unfamiliar place. The car can guide you charging stations, which makes for a very relaxed trip. Navigation is a breeze! On dropoff David wanted to meet up again to do the checkout together. Again, I've never experienced a checkout with the host present. Typically, we leave the car in the same airport parking garage and text the host to lock up upon departure. Because I'm a Tesla driver myself at home, David was comfortable with me leaving the car at an offsite airport parking garage. I think with time David's nervousness might calm which will make the overall experience much better for guests. Improved punctuality and streamlining his approach to host/guest limited interaction would encourage me to rent from him again.

David was wonderful to work with. Always glad to help with any questions I had.

Easy pick up and drop off. Car was fun and the host was helpfully and knowledgeable about the vehicle and the entire Turo process.

Ben L.Oct 31, 2019

Let me start off with the positive, David loves his Tesla’s and they are great clean cars to rent and he is quick to respond on the app. However he could use some work streamlining the rental process. I paid for the PHX airport drop off but he made a fuss about checking the car out at the airport. Saying that you can’t do commercial activity on airport property. He wanted to drive to a different location to take pictures of damage and do the rental checkout. David still picked us up at the airport it just added time to our rental process by going to another location to fill out paperwork. If he says he can pickup and drop it off at the airport I expect an airport pickup and drop off no questions asked. He also communicates a lot of “contract” stuff through the messaging app. I think the should be part of the rental agreement not through the messages. Overall it was a positive experience because the car is fantastic.
