“I love your car! or "Oh, it's so cute!" followed by lots of smiles.. Other drivers staring in awe, while some give me the thumbs up lol..
It “IS” cute, no argument there. But I’m here to tell you there's a lot more to this "cute" car than looks.
Ok, it’s a fun little car that handles city and freeway traffic just fine. It steers true and quick. Acceleration is quite acceptable and it brakes just right for its size. Inside, it feels very big, and you sit higher than in most small cars.
The no-clutch 5-speed automated manual transmission takes some getting used to. The smart fortwo runs on a 1.0-liter, 70-horsepower three-cylinder engine and is mated to a standard five-speed auto-manual transmission. Power steering is optional and the fortwo tops out at 90 mph. What the smart fortwo doesn’t have in terms of power, it makes up for in fuel efficiency with 33 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.
Power windows, heated leather seats, CD player, panoramic roof, fortwo features front and side-impact airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system with traction control as standard equipment.
Surprisingly roomy, fuel-efficient and fun, the 2010 smart fortwo is the smart choice for those looking for a stylish, yet extremely functional little car for city driving.
Rent it and see for yourself!
