Parking details

Guidelines

- Please take pictures of the car at pickup (driver side, car back, passenger side, car front, and upload to Turo. Failure to upload all pictures will result in a $25 penalty) - When on autopilot (only safe on major highways), be ready to take over driving duties any second - No food or pets allowed in the car please - Feel free to use my EZPass, but please approach toll gate <10mph. I will request for any tolls  - Please be courteous to the next driver and return the vehicle with 150 miles of charge (due to noncompliance by a few drivers, there will now be a $100 fee if Tesla is not charged to 150 miles at drop off) - Any mileage exceeding the booked amount will be charged at rate of $1.25 per mile - when Supercharging is complete, please move the car right away, otherwise Tesla will accrue idling fees by the minute. If idle for more than five minutes, I will issue a $10 fee to offset Tesla's charges  - It's a pleasure to share my Tesla Model S P85D with you on Turo. Please treat this car as you would your own!

Faqs

  • How do I sign up for Turo?
You can sign up via your Facebook or Google account
  • How do I charge the Tesla?
You can charge at home or via one of the hundreds of Tesla Supercharger stations throughout the US. Charging at a Supercharger is much faster (up to 100x) than charging at home
  • How do I know where to charge the Tesla?
In short, if you use the Tesla GPS you will never run out of charge. Input your destination into the Tesla GPS, the GPS will guide you to your destination while factoring in how much battery and charge you have. If you don't have enough charge to make it to your destination, the Tesla GPS will make sure to guide you to a Supercharger along the way. Don't worry, the GPS will also tell you how much and how long to charge for so that you have enough juice for your way back.
  • Does this Tesla have Autopilot?
Yes, Autopilot is very easy to use, and it's absolutely revolutionary, but the driver still needs to pay full attention to the road. There have been many avoidable accidents while the Tesla was engaged in Autopilot due to driver neglect and sudden changes in road condition (ie: construction). I will send you a simple guide on how to use Autopilot once your reservation is complete.
  • Does the Tesla take gas?
Absolutely not. Teslas are full electric vehicles.
  • How big is the battery pack?
    85kw
  • How much range does the Tesla have?
240 miles of range when charged fully. In real-life driving conditions this is equivalent to ~210 miles, depending on how you drive. When engaged in Insane Mode, 240 miles of range is roughly 180 miles in real life driving. The weather (if it's very cold) also negatively affects range.
  • How does the Tesla handle snow?
I have brand new snow tires, and will switch these on from November - February. With the snow tires and AWD dual motor system, the Tesla handles snow well, but for precautionary reasons I do not recommend driving the Tesla with more than 6inches of snow accumulation.

Nice car. Inside was clean, but outside of car was dirty and car was not charged up fully. Received car about half charged. Larry requires you to return car with at least 150 miles left on it or charges an additional $100.00 I received his Tesla with only 160 miles left on charge. I had to drive an hour out of my way to a Supercharger and an another hour back to my area not including the hour it took to charge the car up. If the car was charged up most people renting the car in the city will never use up the charge to the point of 150 miles left and would make the rental experience much better. I only needed the car for 1 day and felt I wasted 3 hours of my valuable time to charge the car and used 66 miles of trip mileage to get to Supercharger and return back to my area of usage. Almost half of the allowed mileage. Larry was great in communication but should have car fully cleaned and charged for a great customer experience. Pick up and return of Tesla to a valet garage was easy and fast.
