Parking details

Plentiful street-parking available.

Guidelines

Please no smoking of any kind. No smell of smoke on your person or any of the passengers at any time. No pets. Keep it clean. No food or drink in the car. Don’t go below “20% or 60 miles” or fees will be incurred (no recharge is required on return as long as it's above “20% or 60 miles”) Parking/Traffic Tickets must be paid by the renter directly to the corresponding agency BEFORE we receive a notice in the mail. A $75 processing fee is added to any ticket we have to process personally. By no means is Autopilot anything more than a driver's aide. The driver is responsible for the cars maneuvers, steering, and braking -- this includes keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road at all times. Autopilot is a convenience feature to be used on freeways and highways only. Please use with caution and only if you are completely comfortable with it. No racing. Like all Teslas, I have the ability to track the car in real-time, so please drive respectfully and responsibly.

Faqs

  • Do I need to charge the car before returning?
No need to charge the car if returning with at least ~60 miles/~20% of range.
  • Do I need to clean the car upon return?
Exterior: In most cases, no. I’d prefer to wash it myself, which saves you the hassle and expense of doing this. If the car has an unusually dirty exterior, I ask that you either pay for a hand-wash, or have the car hand-washed before returning it to me. PLEASE DO NOT RUN THE CAR THROUGH AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH! Interior: I don’t care if the floor mats are a little dirty. Please clean up the inside of debris and make sure you keep the interior clear of spills, sharp objects, and mud. In short, if you keep the exterior and interior reasonable clean, you won’t have to worry about cleaning the car upon return.
  • How do I know where to charge the car?
Superchargers are clearly labeled as red markers on the in-car navigation. You simply tap on a Supercharger and select "Navigate". If taking a long trip, the car automatically routes you through Superchargers as needed. If you'd like the 110-volt or 220-volt mobile charger, please let me know beforehand. I find most clients just prefer to use Superchargers.

We did a weekend trip with Mathew's Tesla 3 as a fun activity for my father's birthday. Mathew's car did not disappoint; it was fun to drive and we were really impressed by the advanced autopilot, the single-charge range, and the ease of use (and speed!) of the Tesla Superchargers. Not only was Mathew's daily rate competitive or lower than other similar vehicles in his area, but his return policies were more friendly/flexible than other hosts that I checked (see the FAQs in his profile). Mathew also accommodated an evening pickup and was available when we wanted to return the car a few hours early. Finally, his enthusiasm for his car and willingness to answer any question before or during the trip made everything just that much more fun.

Beautiful car, had it for the weekend and it was just a blast. Matthew was extremely courteous and explained everything in detail. The ride was spotless and it shows that he really cared for the car and my experience.

The Model 3 is a phenomenal DRIVERS car, particularly in this RWD / long-range configuration. Matthew’s car is clean and gorgeous, and Matthew himself is a great and flexible host. Many thanks Matthew for working with me thru the Turo oddities and best of luck with the new child.

For my first trip with Turo, the process was straight forward and tassel free. For this being my first experienced diving an electric car, Mathew was very help with a wealth of knowledge and pointers. Tesla’s charging network is amazing and a major scaling point. Once you have a bad experience at a public charging station with their lack of electric pay options. Tesla’s chargers are the way to go.

Mathew was a pleasure to deal with and made the process of using Turo for the first time a breeze. His car was pristine and I could tell he takes good care of it, but he was easygoing about letting me use it for a family road trip. He had lots of tips about driving the car for a first time Tesla driver, and he enthusiastically answered any questions I had about the car. He was also flexible about recharging so I could just enjoy the trip. I had no problems with Mathew’s car, and I wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again. I highly recommend Mathew and his Model 3 to anyone looking for a fun electric car to take on a road trip or to anyone considering the purchase of a Tesla and looking for an extended test drive.
