Ok so I really didn’t want to write this review because I don’t ever like leaving negativity, however I want the next person to have a heads up before they rent this car! So from the beginning, the host, Billy, seemed rather pushy. He was punctual but definitely pushy. I honestly got weird vibes within the first few hours of our conversation. For example, before I rented, the app stated that there was a $60 delivery fee to the airport. Ok fine. However, during our conversation, Billy stated that I still had to pay an extra fee of $17 to retrieve the car from a local parking garage ... and when I inquired about this, hoping to get a reimbursement, he said no because TURO takes $20 so he only makes $40 and he has to drive the car x amount of miles, so essentially I should expect to pay more .. First of all, don’t try to make your customer feel bad and act like you’re doing them a favor by driving your car (that I am paying to rent) however many miles. You chose to do that! If you had an issue, then you should have requested a delivery fee of $80 off the bat so you would get an actual $60. That has nothing to do with me. But at the very least, specify your specifics before the customer even attempts to order your vehicle... Furthermore, Billy told me I had to show him the receipt for the parking garage ASAP and send him my drivers license and flight info along with it. I literally had it done within 5 minutes but he continued to RUSH me, (obviously unaware that it was all sent over), and in an attempt to get me to do it even faster he sends me a text saying “is high season someone else can take your spot” SERIOUSLY? Literally only 5 minutes went by and you want to start off on the wrong foot with your prospective customers ... pretty rude. REGARDLESS, I shrugged it all off and went against my better judgment and told myself I was overreacting. Here’s the fun part, I get the car! Ok, seems like I can work with it. First red flag, he has no photos uploaded of prior damage that was already on the vehicle (which there was) Ok, no problem. I just made sure to document that to avoid any possible issues. Again, that should have been documented on his end from the getgo. Next, he sends me a video of how to accelerate (on an automatic car.. interesting) so anytime I needed some force, I had to make sure that I pressed this one button otherwise I could barely get up a hill. Ok... again VERY annoying and wished I would have known that because I would have rather not dealt with that in the first place, but ok, moving on. I then discover that the brakes were HORRIBLE!They were super hard to push down on, and to top it all off the engine/motor was super loud, and I felt every single tiny bump I went over. I felt totally uncomfortable and unsafe driving on the highway! Also, the USB port barely worked and kept going in and out. My cord is brand new so I knew that wasn’t the issue. This was really unfortunate for me because I was relying on having a charged phone & GPS to get to where I was going. Last but not least, it came time to return the car. Billy texted me at 7 am a couple times times asking me the same exact thing he already asked before. He wanted me to send him my flight information (for obvious reasons, so he would be on the same page regarding car retrieval) This really irritated me all over again because before I was even approved to rent the car, he had already asked me this. And then almost immediately after our phone conversation I sent him an email, with all of that information!!!!! But still, he proceeded to ask me the same thing over and over and over again. I just felt like a lot of the points were received the very first time and that constant unnecessary contact could’ve easily been limited. Overall, everything about this experience was uncomfortable. Anyone who wants to rent this car should think twice. There are other options that are cheaper, way smoother of a ride, newer of a vehicle, and less of a hassle. Billy didn’t advertise these major issues which is a bad call on his end. Overall I was surprised because most of Billy’s reviews were positive, but this experience really ruined it for me. Yes he was definitely punctual, I will give him that, but at what cost? He was pushy and came off borderline aggressive. I always use TURO when I travel and I never had a complaint, nor has it ever made me feel this uneasy until now. To be frank, I probably will use enterprise after this because this situation simply ruined it for me.

Billy went outside his normal delivery range to drop off and pick up the car at my RV campsite. Excellent communication from Billy. He was also very prompt. Car was great and he was generous with the mileage allowance. Would definitely recommend!!

Definitely had a pleasant transaction. Coordinated a timely pick up and drop off, and other information via text. Always responded within a reasonable time, and the vehicle is great as advertised. Would rent from again!!!
