I rented the car after being canceled on a couple of times. When I got to the location he sent me another car...but since I had to be at a funeral in a couple of hours I had no choice. When I picked up the car it was the wrong car, it was filthy, and the gas tank was empty. The car engine was making weird noises, you could hear the wind from the doors not being able to close. The seatbelts were broken and one didn’t exist at all. The car broke down on us, and needed oil. Then after the trip he texted me telling me I had to take accountability for a dent that was already in the rusty car. Luckily I had already took pictures, but he refused to pick up the phone when he text me that and when the car broke down. Honestly the worst experience I had from Turo, it was ridiculous and dangerous for me and my family, no seatbelts, bald tires, bad doors.

The owner was supposed to meet us at the airport when we arrived at 10am. As soon as we got off the plane, we went to go use the bathroom and as soon as I came out at 10:08am, I received a message from the owner saying he is leaving the venue and we need to pickup the car from a completely different location. He claimed that he was at the airport for 20 mins and called my phone 3 times. However, I didn’t receive any missed calls from his number.( it could have been because I was on the plane) nevertheless he should have reached out the night before and communicated with us that he was on a tight schedule and needed to get to work in a rush. He ended up paying for the Uber for us to get to the second location (which was nice) Then, we arrived at that location and found out that the car we originally booked was not available because the AC was broken. He provided an alternate car for us. (We weren’t going to make that a big deal, however he should have told us this ahead of time) The car was very dirty and the car had only a quarter tank of gas! To my knowledge, the car is supposed to have a FULL tank of gas when picking up and dropping off. I sent George a message letting him know that the car was dirty and had no gas and he offered up another car for us to use. I proceeded to ask him if the alternate car has a full tank of gas and he said “I don’t know, but return the other car with the same gas” I thought this was COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Why offer up an alternate car if you don’t even know if it has gas in it? What is the point of returning the car for another car that might not even have a full tank of gas? We decided that returning the car for another one wasn’t worth it and continued on our journey. Returning the car was simple because we left it in a parking spot for him to retrieve when he could. George needs to get better with communicating with people renting his car. Our trip would have started off soo much better if he simply communicated with us prior to the pick-up time.

The owner cancelled this trip 10 minutes before it started. This message was automatically posted by Turo.
