Description

First in CT, Top of the line PERFORMANCE Model 3 FREE Unlimited use of Tesla's Supercharger network (Only applies to Performance model 3) This means the COST of fuel (electricity) for your trip is INCLUDED in the daily price if you charge exclusively at Tesla superchargers (recommended). 0-60mph in a blistering 3.5 sec Pickup and dropoff hours: M-F: 7am-9am or 6pm-8pm Sat and Sun: Anytime Long Range (310* miles) Premium Interior Premium Sound System Panoramic Glass Roof Enhanced Auto Pilot + Full Self Driving (as features become available) We'll provide a walkthrough of the vehicle controls and tech, answering any questions you have Rent it for a week or more, and get a discount Aero wheels for improved aerodynamics and range Lastly, if you are more interested in a Model X, we have a 90D with much the same description. We'll add to Turo for your convenience if you'd rather the X. Let me know and I'll quote you a price. General Guidelines: Return the vehicle in the same condition (no machine wash which could damage the paint) Return the vehicle with the same charge. Notify us if the car incurs any damage while under your care. Notify us if you will be late for return. Do not disable Tesla mobile access. Do not charge car beyond 90% of its full capacity. See vehicle listing guidelines for specific details. If you will be late to return, please understand the Turo policy. Much of this late fee arrangement is to satisfy the insurance Turo provides: https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/203990740-Daily-pricing-policy Renters are responsible for any traffic and/or parking violations incurred during their trip. Smoking, pets, eating, are NOT allowed inside the car; minimum $150 cleaning fee, if there is any smoke smell, evidence of pets or other foul smell detected upon return. Supercharger Idle Fees: If using Tesla Superchargers on your trip, do not leave the car plugged in at the supercharger if it has finished charging. Tesla will charge $0.40 per Minute once the supercharger has finished charging, which will be charged to the renter. There is a 5 minute window in which no fee will be charged. This is Tesla's way of ensuring enough superchargers for all, so please be considerate and hopefully others will do the same for you! Additionally you can download the App PlugShare to find alternative free charging, though what you find will likely be much slower than Tesla superchargers.

Guidelines

As a reminder, we are a personal car share not a car rental so we ask you please respect our amazing Tesla as if it were your own, return the car in the same condition and follow our guidelines below 1. Excess miles charged at $1.00/mi 2. Return car with at least same battery charge range, Charging fee of $20 if returned with less range. 3. Professionally Wash car prior to return or a $30-$150 car wash charge will be applied to the reservation. 4. Supercharger idle fees are $0.40/min if car is plugged in and not actively charging, unplug and move from space BEFORE it reaches the charge limit to avoid fees. 5. Smoking, pets, eating, are NOT allowed inside the car; minimum $150 cleaning fee, if there is any smoke smell, evidence of pets or other foul smell detected upon return. 7. Renter is financially responsible for any wear and tear during the rental period. Toll Fees: Guests are responsible for Toll Fees. Please see Turo's policy for more information: https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/203990510-Toll-fees Guests are resonsible for tickets incurred during the trip: https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/203990530-Tickets-received-during-a-trip Please see Turo's policies for late returns and extensions. There are typically fees applied, since Turo must satisfy the needs of the insurance companies and we must try our best not to inconvenience future guests. Please recharge the car to the same level of charge as when the vehicle was delivered. Do NOT charge past 90 percent. This will reduce the longevity of the battery over time. I will charge $0.50 for every minute that the car remains above 90 percent unless you have spoken with me and we've come to an alternative agreement.

Faqs

  • Can the car drive itself?
No. On the highway the car can maintain its lane and adjust its speed to maintain a buffer zone with the car in front. However, your hands must be on the wheel at all times. That being said, you'll be amazed by how much less mental fatigue you will feel after a long drive on autopilot. It's also greatly reduces stress levels in stop and go traffic jams. Off of the highway, the car will NOT stop for stop signs, red lights, etc. You can engage autopilot on well marked side streets, but the maximum speed will be 5 miles above the speed limit and you must remain vigilant. I recommend using only traffic aware cruise control when not highway driving, which is a fancy cruise control that will maintain speed or slow down for a car ahead, while requiring you to steer.
  • Can I really drive 1000 miles without having to pay for electricity?
Yes, that's right. The performance edition of the model 3 reserves the right to charge at Tesla superchargers for no cost. The cost was build into the price of the car! So the daily price you pay for this car includes electricity!
  • If the car can go 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, is the accelerator too sensitive to drive like a normal human being?
No, the engineers at Tesla did a fabulous job calibrating the sensitivity of the pedal. It's quite easy to accelerate slowly and you needn't worry about this at all.
  • How long does it take to charge?
Generally, you should try and keep the car charged between 20% and 80%. There should be enough superchargers around for this to be possible. To charge from 20% to 80%. which provides about 180 miles, should take about 30 minutes. Note that superchargers are typically paired; 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, etc. The pairs share the same connection, so try NOT to charge right next to someone for the fastest charging speed.
  • How will I know where the Tesla Superchargers are?
When you use GPS to map the route to your destination, the Tesla GPS will automatically identify which superchargers you should use and for how long in order to safely reach your destination.
