Q: How do I drive a Prius?
A: Its a hybrid so is partially an electric car. To start the car, press the brake pedal, then press the power button on the dash and you'll see "ready" next to the speedometer. Move the automatic shifter to R or D and see also displayed next to the speedometer when the car is "ready". To place the car in park, press the P button which is just above the shifter. During your drive the engine will turn itself on and off automatically and use the electric motor seamlessly which you'll see on the main screen on the dashboard. To turn off the car from on "ready" status, press the power button again and you'll see all the dash lights off/the car off.
Q: What's about tolls?
A: The car comes registered to an E-ZPass account and you don't even need to handle the transponder. Let alone even worrying about keeping track of reimbursements, you'll be responsible for the toll fees, but I will request reimbursement through Turo once I review my statement.
Q: How many people does it sit?
A: The Prius has seating for 5 adults.
Q: Does it come with navigation?
A: Yes! Its fully loaded with the Toyota Prius Navigation system in case you don't have data for your phone's GPS.
Q: Can I still listen to my own music?
A: Yes! The car also comes with a CD player, Bluetooth phone, and auxiliary input. Also have iPhone/Android charging cables.
Q: Where do I pick it up, and how do I get the keys?
A: My Prius will be parked behind my brownstone in Boston. I'll unlock it remotely a few minutes before your rental begins then you can just follow the check in instructions to begin your trip.
NOTE: please be very careful of kids running up and down the sidewalk as you back up, and speeding cars. Back up out of the driveway slowly!
Q: Will your Prius be clean when I pick it up? What do you expect when I return it?
A: Yes, absolutely. I'm a car guy and keep it clean regularly. I ask that you return the car in the same condition as when you rented it, nice and clean. If it needs to be washed from highway driving, etc and clean on the inside, please be sure to do that right before return.

Q: Can I smoke in the car?
A: Absolutely No. I'm sensitive to smoke, & per Turo's policy there would be a $250 fee applied.

Q: Who can drive the car?
A: Only drivers who have been successfully verified by Turo and added to your trip are allowed to help you with driving the car! That's for your protect as well as mine.
