Comes with heated leather seats, an AMAZING 6-speed manual transmission, driver aids, great fuel economy, and a guaranteed smile on your face! Behind the wheel of a Miata, driving is fun again. So treat yourself, drop the top, cruise off into the sunset, and leave all your stresses behind. :) Please note: - This car has a manual transmission. Only rent this car if you can drive a stick shift. - ‎This car has two seats and a tiny trunk. It will only fit one standard carry-on bag. Pack light! - ‎This car requires premium fuel (octane 91 or higher). Please include receipt showing that premium fuel was used when you fill the tank. - ‎No racing, burnouts or redlining! This is my personal car. Observe all local laws and drive the posted speed limits. I take great care of this car and I expect you will as well. - ‎No smoking of any kind, please. - This car will come with winter tires and rims from early December through early April. - Please note the mileage limits. It's ok if you go over, but I will charge extra per mile after you go over the mileage limits. - Please return the car on time. I strictly enforce Turo's late return policy. If you're late, I will charge a late fee. If you think you might return the car late, ask me for an extension--it's cheaper than late fees and I can usually grant it. - Please return the car in the condition it was delivered. This includes cleaning the interior of all garbage and debris, and washing the exterior if there's any dirt, salt, or residue on the car. If the car is returned in unsatisfactory condition, I will charge a cleaning fee. - For Logan Airport deliveries, due to new Turo regulations, I cannot deliver the car to the airport. If you purchase delivery, I will cover the cost of your Uber Pool to/from the car's location in Belmont in both directions. Please note that the cost of two Ubers is usually less than the cost of Turo delivery, so I recommend you check prices before booking delivery.

Get a professional pic of you with the car! I'll drive you to a photogenic location (of my choosing) at pickup or return, and take a professional photo of you with the car. I'll email you the digital file. The extra does not include an actual camera.

Choose: one that attaches to the phone magnetically, or one that attaches to the phone with a clamp. Both attach to the windshield. I also have a Pop Socket mount if you prefer that.

Parking details

The location is accessible by public transportation (73 bus and Waverly commuter rail stop). There is no overnight street parking in Belmont.

Guidelines

No pets, smoking, or racing. Please don't put the top down if it's below 41 degrees F. Please return the car clean and with a full tank of premium fuel (91 octane or higher). Clean means that the outside should be free of road grime, salt, debris, etc, and the inside shouldn't contain any trash, mud, or any other debris. Tolls are your responsibility. I'll include an ez pass for your convenience, but please reimburse me after the trip for any tolls. Please be on time for the pickup and return. This is my personal car. I strictly enforce Turo's late return policy, which can be found here: https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/203990710-Late-Return-Policy - if you're late, I will charge late fees as per the policy. The car comes with an exterior facing dash cam for your protection. If you don't want to use the dash cam, simply unplug it, remove it from its mount, remove the memory card, and place it in the glove box in the provided bags. Alternatively, you can give it to me before your rental starts.

Faqs

  • Can I drive more miles than the mileage limit?
    Yes, but I will charge the listed rate for miles in excess of the mileage limits. If you plan on significantly exceeding the mileage limits, please let me know before booking.
  • How do tolls work?
    You are responsible for all tolls. I'll include an EZ pass for your convenience. After the trip, you can either give me cash in person for any tolls, or I'll submit a reimbursement request for the exact toll amount.
  • Can I use this car to learn to drive stick?
    No.
  • What if I return the car late?
    Please be on time for the pickup and return. This is my personal car. I will charge a late fee for any car that's returned late. I strictly enforce Turo's late return policy, which can be found here: https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/203990710-Late-Return-Policy
  • How big is the trunk? Can I fit my luggage in it?
    The trunk will accept one standard sized carry-on bag, and a few small personal items. You cannot fit bags larger than that in this trunk, including checked luggage.
  • How does delivery work?

    No. Please remove all trash and debris from the interior, and wash the exterior of any road grime, salt, dirt, etc, before returning. If the car is not returned in the same condition as it was delivered, I will charge a cleaning fee. If you pay for my "post-trip cleaning" extra, you don't have to worry about the above, and it will be cheaper than the cleaning fee. The post-trip cleaning extra does not include coverage for any damage done to the car, or anything beyond garbage removal and an exterior car wash.
