We carry our own commercial insurance. Therefore, Turo does not offer liability insurance for you to purchase on our cars. Our insurance requires proof that you are insured. In the terms and conditions it indicates that you are responsible for all damage to the car on the trip. Make sure your insurance company covers you for rental cars so that you are not paying out of pocket for anything that may occur. We can sell renters collision protection for $25 per day if you need insurance. It covers you for up to $20,000 in damage and has a $250 deductible.
For your safety and peace of mind there is a card for 24 hour emergency roadside assistance in the glove box. Encore: 877-272-1678. They will need the unique number on the card for this car. This will help you with any issues such as running out of fuel, a flat tire, or if you lock the keys in the car.
Feel free to use the toll roads. There is no processing fee for using the toll roads. We go through the toll list weekly and request any tolls that have posted. We will charge you the cost of any tolls if you use the toll roads.
Note our fee schedule on our listing for excessive cleaning charges. We hope to keep your trip as smooth and efficient as possible by offering these extra features.
