*No pets allowed. *No smoking (cigarette, vaping, etc.) is allowed in the vehicle. Any evidence of smoking (cigarette, vaping, etc.) or pets will result in Turo’s fee to detail the vehicle ($150). *Cleaning Policy: Please return the vehicle in the same clean condition it will be in when you initially pick it up. Turo’s Cleaning Fee of up to $250 will be charged if the vehicle is not returned in the same clean condition as during pickup. They have a realistic sliding scale for cleaning, and the link is below. *My vehicle should be returned in the same condition as it was when you received it. If the vehicle is significantly dirtier than it was on check out, you will be charged a cleaning fee per Turo of up to $250. Smoking and Pets are strictly prohibited in all vehicles and you will be fined through Turo. Also, late returns are absolutely not accepted. If you pick up the vehicle late that's usually not a problem for me as long as you let me know you're running behind, however picking up late DOES NOT mean you can return the vehicle late. The vehicle is due back no later than the listed Turo time (This is to protect you as Turo’s insurance is valid during the rental periods only). We use a lockbox to protect both of us. The vehicle keys will be inside the lockbox, and we will send you the lockbox code just prior to the start time of your reservation (typically 10 minutes prior to give you time to take pictures of the exterior/interior and mileage/gas level prior to starting your trip). You will need to do the following in order to get the lockbox code prior to the start of your reservation: Use your phone to take a picture of your driver license and another picture of it holding it next to your face. You will upload both pictures to the Trip Photos section in the main booking page when you scroll down. Please note that the driver license information must be easily read in the picture. Please let me know when this is complete. I will confirm that your driver’s license matches your Turo account and send you the lock box code. *Gas Refill Policy: Please note the gas gauge when you pick up the vehicle and return the vehicle with the same amount. If you are not able or don’t want to add the gas, we will fill it up for you, but charge $15 per quarter tank. That means a maximum charge of $60. “If Turo manually processes the reimbursement, an administrative fee of $25 will be added to the guest’s cost.” If you just want us to fill it for you, do your Post-trip photos showing the gas gauge and text us stating the amount you agree to, saving both of us the hassle of having to involve Turo manually processing the claim, and Turo tacking on the $25 admin fee.   • Is smoking allowed in the vehicle?
    No, please do not smoke inside the vehicle. Any evidence of smoking (cigarette, vaping, etc.) will result in a fee to cover a complete professional cleaning detail ($150).
  • What happens if there is a vehicle accident?
    Turo provides rental vehicle insurance during your reservation if you paid for it, but only during the rented period. We keep the Turo insurance card within the glove compartment of the vehicle and will work with you and Turo to resolve any issues.
  • How many adults can fit in a this Accent?
    This vehicle can comfortably seat 5 people and all will have seat belts.
  • Are pets allowed in the vehicle?
    No pets are allowed inside the vehicle. Any evidence of pets will result in a fee to cover a complete professional cleaning detail ($150).
  • Can I return the vehicle early?
    Yes, you can return the vehicle early during daylight hours. However, based on Turo’s policy, they won’t give any refund for early return.
  • Can I extend the vehicle rental for more days?
    Normally that is not a problem. We may be able to keep you in the same vehicle if it is not booked during the extension period. However if someone else has already reserved the vehicle, we might be able to move them with their permission to a similar or “better” vehicle, so give us a text or call as far out as you can so we can work this with you. Please understand that you the customer will have to do the actual request through the Turo APP; we cannot do it for you.
  • Can I return the vehicle late?
    If you're running behind please let me know, and please modify the trip return time through the Turo APP to avoid late fees. https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/203990780-Fees-fines If there is a renter needing it soon after your scheduled return, the answer is no. I will charge you late fee and explain to the next renter what is going on, but that is totally unfair for the next renter.
  • Do you recommend a gas station?
    The inexpensive gas on island is at either Costco or Sam’s Club and both require a membership card. Military can get gas on bases, and there is an off-post military-only NEX gas station by the airport at 6890 Nimitz Rd, Honolulu, HI 96818. At the airport, there is a Shell gas station across from the McDonalds at 6890 Nimitz Rd, Honolulu, HI 96818.
  • Can I return the vehicle without adding gas?
    If you are not able or don’t want to add the gas, we will fill it up for you, but charge $20 per quarter tank.   • What if I get parking ticket?
    If you get a parking ticket pay it yourself online or by phone. If we have to do it, Turo charges $25 admin fee added to the ticket. If not paid in a timely manner, the city will charge a substantial late fee as well.
  • Do you recommend a car wash?
    We often use the Tony Autoplex Car Wash (Hours: every day 9am-6pm) at 94-1299 Ka Uka Blvd, Waipahu, HI 96797. Plan on 45 minutes or so for the process, but after the wash, they hand-wipe and vacuum out the vehicle. Cost is around $27. In Pearl City there is an automatic 24/7 car wash at the Shell gas station at 98-135 Kamehameha Hwy, Aiea, HI 96701. Cost is around $10, plus you have to pay additional to vacuum the inside yourself. There is another car wash a block away at the Texaco. Please leave the receipt in the car.

Everything was great with George’s car. This was my first time using Turo and I would for sure do it again. The only issue was the check engine light was on the whole time which was a bit worrisome but other than that the car was great!

Even though I never met George working with him and his associates was very nice. They were flexible and understanding when my plans changed and I never had any worries. The car itself had good AC and the radio worked, which was all I wanted really. It got a little annoying manually locking and unlocking all the doors every single time you got in and out, but that’s just a sign of the times haha.

I have never rented a car before because it looked daunting and complicated with too much risk. But, George helped me through the whole process and made it easy, carefree, and an enjoyable experience with the car. He was very accommodating and easy to work with. Getting around in Hawaii is expensive, so I'd highly recommend renting one of George's cars no questions asked!
