This review is based on after trip experience. Allow me to explain, the car works great and very clean. The host was very accommodating as I picked up 1.75 hours late and I returned 1 hour earlier than the scheduled time. Great price and great cars collection they have. I rave about it to my friends how awesome collection and price this host have. The host was very prompt in responding to any inquiries you might have. After all, this is an all-star host, meaning top-rated, most experienced and all of that reputation build upon a good communication between the host and the renter.   Now, what went wrong then? On the day of the drop off the car, I dropped the car one-hour earlier. It was around 6-7 PM, so there's almost or during sunset time, we can see how the condition of the car pretty clear. Upon arrival, it's probably my mistake that I didn't take any post pictures considering they greeted me back and we're checking the car for a quick scan and the other person took few pictures of the car. The host fiancee/ bf told me should be good and they would upload all the post-trip photos the next day. The next day, I was shocked that someone from Turo contacted me about a damage claim (front rim scuff) on the passenger side. From the report, it looks like a minimal thing that arises from hitting/touching the curbside. Now, this is something that comes to me as a surprise and I am sure it is to the host. I always parked the car indoor or valet. I didn't drag race the car. I took good care like any other car I rented from Turo before as this is not my first time renting from Turo. I have no knowledge about the damaged and I was very upset that the host didn't try to work it out, contact me about it but (being completely silent). Turo asked me for some pictures, which was a fool of me that I didn't take any post-trip pictures because the host was there to pick up the car and inspected on spot. Turo came back with a total of $331.20 while I am working in the automotive industry and this could be done/fix for half the price OR $100 from the pictures they sent me. It's something that you can just buff it out. Should I be responsible for it? Yes, since they claimed the damaged occur during the trip and I have no pictures to show. I am not trying to avoid responsibility and I would be more than happy to work it out and willing to pay if there's an option for me to fix it or go to my own choice of repair center which would help with the cost less than the skyrocketing price they quoted. Long story short, they charged my card. I am fully responsible for the damaged occurred. Everything was great at first, but it turned out to be bad. If there's one thing I could learn and would make this a better experience (regardless a damaged occurred that we both didn't know) would be that the host initiates a conversation or letting me know (giving me a heads up) about the situation and offer some options on how we should go about it. After all, the focus is to get the car fixed not trying to make the renter paid insanely for small damaged. This is considered a good way to work it out between the host and the renter, especially for an all-start host. Thus, from all of this experience, I am utterly unhappy.
