SFO AIRPORT PICKUP
The vehicle will be parked at 838 Mitten Rd, Burlingame. This location is closer to the airport than the Turo valet lot. In order for the delivery to be free, you will need to take an Uber/Lyft to/from this location at your expense (money saving tip- get on the free Airport Marriott shuttle- Old Bayshore Rd., get off at the Marriott, and walk 3 min to the car. If you decide to take the free airport Marriott shuttle bus it is a white shuttle bus with Marriott and Hyatt decaled on the outside of the bus. It comes by every 15 to 20 minutes. You can call the 650-692-9100 to listen to the hotel recorded information about the shuttle bus). If you prefer to use the Turo Valet lot for an extra $60, book the reservation as is and let me know. If your reservation is 10 days or more, you can choose the Turo lot for no extra fee, except for Thanksgiving and Xmas weeks.
This vehicle was very recently our family car. It only has 76,232 miles (as of Jan 2019). Honda Odyssey EX-L leather interior. Good condition interior and vehicle has a backup camera.. You’ll see some minor exterior scuffs/scrapes/bumper gouges, so park in tight spaces worry-free. Vehicle will always be fully washed and vacuumed prior to delivery. The default will be 7 seats. Message me if you need the 8th seat installed.
SAFETY FIRST FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
It is always a good idea to ask the other hosts (especially heavily rented cars) to provide documentation of a recently passed vehicle inspection, especially tire tread wear and condition of brakes, as Turo does not require any inspections (unless a renter reports a problem). The last thing you want is for the brakes to give out going down one of San Francisco many steep hills or to have a flat tire because a vehicle was poorly maintained.

January 2019- new rear brake pads and rotors (OEM Honda pads and premium Napa rotors)
December 2018- 4 new tires from Costco
December 2018- replaced both front wiper blades
March 2018- new front brake pads and rotors (Ultra Premium pads and Premium rotors from Napa)
Car is clean--washed and vacuumed prior to delivery/pick-up and you will need to either bring it back in the same condition or choose car cleaning in the Turo app under "Extras" for $30 or you can pay me $30 in cash/Venmo/Paypal upon return.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING IN THE VEHICLE
There is a $1000 fine for smoking or vaping. Smokers- it would be to your advantage to book a different vehicle.
CHILD 5-POINT and BOOSTERS SEATS
Leave your car seats or boosters at home. Two new (purchased Oct 2019) 5-point car seats (22-110 lbs)) available for $2/day/seat. Booster (bottom only) seats available for $1/day/seat. Payable by Venmo, Paypal, cash, or Turo app and I listed initially as free in case another renter already reserved it for my other car.
Gas is not included with the rental. Please bring the vehicle back with the same level of gas as when you received it--typically it will be full. If you do not have time to fill up the tank upon return, Turo will charge an admin fee of $20 in addition to the missing portion of gas.
My vehicle is registered with Fastrak so you can use any Fastrak lane as it will automatically bill my account. I will request reimbursement thru the Turo app after your trip (may be up to 30+ days after). Turo will charge a small admin fee (I think it’s 3%).
You are responsible for all tickets during your rental. If a ticket goes unpaid, Turo will charge an admin fee in addition to the cost of the ticket. It would be wise to pay off the ticket on your own. If you’re planning to be in SF, read the signs carefully and at all hours as tickets are a major revenue source for the city.
SF Parking Tips:
1. Do not park anywhere where the vehicle will be ticketed..read all signs carefully
2. Do not park where there will be street cleaning during street cleaning days
3. Do not park at 2 hour parking for longer than 2 hours
4. Do not park in permit areas because we do not have a permit
5. When parking on a HILL, turn your wheels so that you do not get a ticket (if you are confused, please see cars near you for correct orientation). ALSO, STEP ON THE PARKING BRAKE ALL THE WAY DOWN. ANOTHER HARD STEP ON THE FOOT PARKING BRAKE WILL RELEASE THE BRAKE.
6. Do not park in front of someone's driveway
7. Do not park in front of a fire hydrant
8. Do not park anywhere where the sidewalk is marked red.
9. Do not park at an expired meter when it is flashing red and parking at broken meters will incur a ticket also.
EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE/DAMAGE/ACCIDENTS
Turo provides emergency roadside assistance and the number to call can be found with the rental insurance paperwork that will be in the glove box at all times. I pay extra to insure my vehicle through Turo's $1,000,000 policy. Please message of any damage or accidents that happen during your rental.
