First things first…
Aloha! My name is Eric and my goal is to make sure that you have a good time on the island while renting my vehicle and I will do everything that I can to make that happen. Rest assured I am not out to ‘get you’ with any of the policies listed below; I am just trying to protect myself and my guests while also trying to minimize any surprises for either of the parties involved.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY SO YOU DON'T GET FINED. ALMOST ALL OF THESE ARE TURO POLICIES but 95% of the people who rent do not read Turo's fine print so here are the major points.

Please respect me and my car. Please do not track sand or mud into it. Please do not eat or drink in the car; I do not have a detail crew like the major corporations, and I don’t want to attract any pests. Turo’s cleaning policies and fees will apply accordingly but don’t worry too much because ultimately it will be Turo’s decision, not mine, so there is no chance that you will be charged for something frivolous. Turo bases their fee assessment on the photos that I upload before and after the trip. You can also take and upload photos to protect yourself from false claims, but you won’t have to worry about that with me.
Unlike some Hosts on Turo I take pride in my cars. I will make every attempt to turnover cars to my guests clean and with full tanks. If for some reason the tank isn’t full when the vehicle is turned over to you, please rest assured that you will only be asked to fill the tank to that level that it was at when it was turned over to you unless you prepay for the gas fill-up in the Extras section.
I wash, vacuum, and Febreze each of my cars after each trip. However, sometimes the vehicles do sit for a few days and can get a bit dusty. Also, once sand makes it into the vehicle it is very hard to remove so it may have some sand despite my best efforts. My car must be returned vacuumed and washed unless you prepay for cleaning in the Extras section. Please select extras BEFORE the trip starts. You cannot add them AFTER. Turo fines for returning a car dirty without sand is $50 to $100 and WITH sand is $150 to $250 PLUS a $25 Turo administrative fee. Plan ahead. Save an hour of your time and money !
I upload over 100 photos of the interior (ceiling, under mats, under seats, trunk, etc.) and exterior of the car right before you pick it up so it WILL be documented.
It is YOUR responsibility to CHECK IN and CHECK OUT on the app so Turo knows when you picked up the vehicle or have returned it (the web site does NOT have the ability for you to check in or out so you MUST download the app to do so) and upload photos of your own. Be careful not to start or end the trip early or late but at the time of key turnover for insurance purposes and because it makes making adjustments to the trip MUCH easier if you don’t prematurely start or end the trip. Turo only insures my vehicle and what it hits DURING the rental period.
NO SMOKING (weed, cigarettes, vaping) OR PETS PERIOD ! MY Daughter AND I ARE ALLERGIC TO PET HAIR AND CIGARETTE SMOKE ! YOU WILL BE FINED ! Turo's smoking and pet hair cleaning fees range from $150 to $250. (Link in second paragraph).
Only the person on the Turo account can pick up and drop off the vehicle. You must bring a VALID (NOT EXPIRED) driver's license when you pick up the vehicle.
If I have the Extra available, you will need to ADD them in the Extras section BEFORE the trip starts. You cannot modify them after you book the car.
You CANNOT leave the car at the airport oat a hotel.
Turo's number is 1-415-965-4525 and has free roadside assistance for towing, key lock outs, jump starts, and tire changes.
NO EARLY PICKUPS OR LATE RETURNS.
Turo charges $50/hour, up to $200 PLUS a $25 admin fee if you are more than 15 minutes late returning the vehicle (in the Turo Fees and Fines page in the second paragraph of this Guidelines section). If you are going to be late, extend the trip BEFORE the trip ends so you won't be charged the late fee. It's easy. Click "Change Trip" and change the return time as necessary. If there is a renter for the car right after you, you will NOT be able to extend and WILL be charged the late fee as it is unfair for the next renter.
If you are going to return earlier than the scheduled time please inform me 2 HOURS ahead of time to make sure I am available. Do not show up early and expect me to be there to receive the car back. My cars ALL have a minimum 3 day rental. Turo does NOT refund early returns.
No speeding, racing, or off-roading (gravel roads, sand, mud, red dirt areas, etc), even with my Jeeps.
Be careful where you park or you may be ticketed and/or towed.
