This is my 2006 Chevrolet W3500 Diesel with 12 foot flat bed, payload 5000 lb. It's not a Silverado, but Turo doesn't have my truck in their pull-down menu. It is also for sale and has a for sale sign in the window.
The 12' bed has a separate walled-off section for the first 2 feet. So the longest item you can fit on the bed is about 10 feet. I have plenty of tie down straps you can use.
It is mechanically perfect, but has over 200,000 miles and is cosmetically rough. Dust comes out the vents when you turn on the A/C. It's a work truck. It has an automatic transmission.
It uses Diesel, and only gets about 10 mpg. It must be returned full... and not all gas stations sell diesel.
It's a commercial vehicle, which means you can't park it on most residential streets overnight. Please check before getting a ticket! It might be best if you pick this up from me and used for the day.
I can meet you there at the lot weekdays from 6:00 - 7:00 am, and weeknights from 6:00 - 7:00 pm (later if necessary). That is when I'm commuting to work and have time to meet you.
Weekends I'm flexible and can meet whenever.
You just need a regular driving license, but you there are obscure rules about driving a Commercial Vehicle. Please be aware of the CA DMV regulations. The vehicle is registered with a CA number for motor private carrier.
