If you've ever rented through a traditional rental car service at DIA, our Turo delivery makes it seem like heaven compared to the hell of traditional rental cars; avoid the mess that is DIA airport rent-a-car. Eg. No bus ride to offsite rental pickup. Again, there is no rental car pickup at Denver International WITHOUT getting on a smelly bus and ~45min extra time frame added onto arrival wait before you're free from the airport - we make it a pleasant 5 min handoff at your arrival terminal - no smelly busses with us/Turo ;)
About my 2016 LT(almostZ) Chevy Colorado:
Still "brand new" aka ~ 10k miles, 2016 Crew Cab Chevrolet Colorado. Upgraded to V6 which has a crazy ~307HP engine (for a V6, the base is a V4); so if you're looking to haul something, such as a trailer or camper, this truck can easily handle it. 4 door Crew cab, can seat five COMFORTABLY. All miles have been highway, been across the USA twice in the past few months but now I have pretty much no need for it, but don't want to sell it just yet.
EFFICIENCY: it averages 25 mpg HWY, 16-18 city (yes, even with the 300+ hp upgraded engine). Note: Minimum of 87 octane fuel required (usually the cheapest but there are a few 85 octane stations)
PERKS: OnStar assistant for directions sent from a live person, or whatever else you may need from them. Includes a built in LTE hotspot with 3Gb or more (depending on length of trip) of WIFI hotspot data (please notify in advance). Has Apple CarPlay which is an awesome quick link to control all media from iPhone to car, I believe it has Android compatibility but haven't tried. Has 4 (2 in front and 2 in back) USB ports that charge at ~2A (fast charging). Basically, for a pickup this thing is technology-decked out.
Remote start via keys, power seats and windows (hot damn)
I put bike rack and what not because, well, it's a pickup. However it's a nice smooth ride and doesn't drive like your in a big rig.
This is basically open rental, I have my other vehicle and rarely need the truck, so message me or rent away! Lastly, I apologize about the length and necessity for the verbiage and terms of service listed below; we've yet to need to use any of them but it's important we include it.
(While this has never occurred or needed any action, it's something that still needs to be noted)
1.0 - Parking/Delivery/Return Parking & Handoff
1.1 - Airport Delivery:
Recently lowered and/or removed (for 5+ day rentals) Turo related airport delivery costs, this was done for the ease of airport parking fees charged by DIA ($4 if picked up within an hour of your scheduled pickup time, extra $4 per each our it is not departed airport - we will contact you regarding preferred service, from the $7 <24hr economy lot parking for flexibility and affordability or if you prefer covered close to terminal garage parking which is $24 - short term is $4 an hour but is by far most convenient and easiest retrieval).
1.2 - Return Parking:
- Return parking / handoff will be discussed, please just remain in good communication and this will be fine. If parked, for example, in short term $4 per hour and I'm out of town, you will incur all fees if done so without communicating
- If you've ever rented through a traditional rental car service at DIA, our Turo delivery makes it seem like heaven compared to the hell of traditional rental cars; avoid the mess that is DIA airport rent-a-car. Eg. No bus ride to offsite rental pickup. 2.0 - Tolls and other related fees:
All terms regarding our toll/violation fee structure.
2.1 - A 50% service fee will be added onto any fees/violations if NO COMMUNICATION regarding the following fees.
2.1 - Parking and other Tickets incurred during rental: ASAP let us know, if handled and all documents are CC'd to us there will be no fee (besides the violation). However, ignoring violations will result in a 50% service charge on top of any fees/late fees/etc.
2.2 - Accidents should be reported to a local police department in even the most minor of fender-benders, additionally you must contact us ASAP for body shop/service center details (do NOT just go with what the insurance company suggests, Colorado law allows for the body shop of choice - and since I used to work in GM service engineering dept. I know the best body shops per internal info and metrics). It is important to contact us along with Turo regarding any such event.
3.0 - RaR (Return as received) policy:
- Simply put: if done so, you're all set.
3.1 - If returned dirty/muddy/interior messy, a $25 cleaning fee will be incurred.
3.2 - If there are noticeable interior stains/spills/throw up/smoking/etc there will be a $150+ detailing fee (depending on extent of damage).
3.3 - 1-2 day rentals will incur a mandatory $15 cleaning fee unless you provide a car wash receipt.
3.4 - Smoking fee of $250 // if interior burns/damage, fee will vary depending on repair costs
3.5 - Overall, you are solely responsible for any and all damage incurred during your trip, it is highly recommended you take clear pictures of the vehicle and note anything before you start your trip.
4.0 - IMPORTANT Fuel Requirements:
4.1 - KEEP ALL GAS RECEIPTS; a minimum of 87 Octane fuel is needed for this 2016 high efficiency engine.
4.2 - 87 UNLEADED/OCTANE FUEL MINIMUM, while this is usually the cheapest, there are quite a few gas stations with 85 as the cheapest.
4.3 - No gas receipts will incur a $50 fee
4.4 - Return with how much gas it was received with (usually full) - fee of gas + 25% will be added if ignored
5.0 - Travel/Use/Milage/Hualing:
In short, stay within your Milage limit, drive responsibly and treat it like your own car and there will be no issues :)
5.1 - Over Milage limit: Turo requires a 75c per mile charge
5.2 - Wreckless driving; while very rare, if you are flooring it at every stoplight or driving wrecklessly, the software personally installed and secondary confirmation by latest OnStar live readings and alerts, Wreckless driving will be logged and you'll be rated poorly; if the number of 'hard' acceleration and/or stops is vastly higher than average - the car will be inspected by a certified mechanic for damage: this affects our insurance rate as well so while wear and tear is hard to diagnose changes in insurance rates will be billed at a 6 month price difference from previous months. This is complex but it's highly documented and you'd really HAVE to be purposely trying for something like this to occur, but for the sake of keeping one honest there is software onboard to prove any irresponsible/Wreckless driving. If you have further questions regarding this contact us with info above.
5.3 - Trips will be logged in detail for liability and insurance reasons including but not limited to location/speed/avg MPG/speed violations (10+ over limit)
5.4 - This truck has the towing package and is actually designed for hauling weight as it has optional towing package and much higher capacity engine. Using these features are perfectly fine; However, please let us know if you plan on hauling any sort of trailer so I can make sure it's within capabilities and won't cause damage.
6.0 - Drivers/ additional Drivers:
Only the Turo approved driver can drive the car, exceptions below
6.1 - Turo approved secondary driver - contact Turo regarding this, we have no control or say over this
6.2 - Legal Drivers license: if you passed Turo's screening but really have a suspended license or the like, you will be reported to Turo and if need be the proper authorities
6.3 - You must be at least 25 years old to rent
Sorry about above fee structure and all the legal stuff - again, we've rented over 20 times and never had an issue yet!
