The BlackRhino is the ideal car for the snow and trips to Tahoe. Load all your ski stuff in the truck bed and have a blast.
The car (Black Rhino): the Frontier PRO-4X is the top-of-the-line 6-cylinder 4-wheel-drive compact truck from Nissan. Fully loaded with all features:
- backup camera
- Nissan Connect Entertainment w/ Apps
- 4WD switch (high and low)
- all terrain tires
- heated seats
let me know if you need any of the following:
- bed extender (optional, let me know if you need it)
- snowboard/ski rack (optional, let me know if you need it)
- child seat Britax Roundabout 55 children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 20 to 55 pounds (optional, let me know if you need it)
If you plan to use the 4WD switch in the snow, please familiarize yourself with the correct procedure to engage and disengage the 4WD (4H and 4LO) and the 2WD as damage may occur if not done properly.
Tip: the truck bed gate is rather heavy - please pay attention as you unlatch it to avoid hitting yourself or other people around you. Also, make sure you open the rear camper bed window before you open the bed gate.
Please do not haul heavy loads and always respect the maximum allowable payload on the truck bed (1,000 lbs or 450 Kg). Please remember that you will be responsible for any damages to the vehicle arising from carrying excessive load.
Finally, please also remember that per Turo's policies you are not allowed to:
- tow or push anything
- drive anywhere other than on paved roads (whether "off-roading", driving on unimproved roads or parking areas, or otherwise)
Enjoy the truck!

Option 1: If you are coming from SFO airport or OAK airport, you can pick up the car at the El Cerrito Plaza BART (subway/underground) station parking lot. BART connects to both airport, so it will be straightforward and you'll skip the crazy San Francisco traffic by using BART. I'll give you exact instruction of where the car is located in the parking lot. If I cannot be there, I'll leave the key in a lock box inside the bed of the truck and I'll give you the lock box code. Then you can return the car at BART and put the key back in the lockbox and place the lockbox as you found it.
Option 2: if you will drive your car, you can pick up the truck at my place in Marina Bay (Richmond, CA). If I am not home, I'll leave the key in the same lock box as in Option 1 above. You can park your car at my place, the area is safe and it's a gated community.
Option 3: Depending on my schedule and for longer-term trips, I may be able to arrange for picking up the car and dropping off the car at the OAK or SFO airport.

Can I bring my dog(s)?
Yes, no extra charge. You can transport your dog(s) in the camper shell (snugtop) but NOT in the cabin. We put a "rugtop" carpet in the caper shell, so it's comfy for the dogs. Obviously you will be responsible for soiling and damages your dog will do.

I'm so glad we took the plunge and hired the Frontier! We were able to take on the biggest Tahoe snow dump in at least 10 years and it was a beast - an incredible machine. The cabin cover was perfect for ski gear too. Fabio was super friendly and very responsive. Couldn't recommend more highly! Thank you Fabio.
