Would rate my experience with Q more than 5 stars if I could. Someone rear ended us on our trip and Q was extremely responsive and guided us, step by step, on what we should do. Before asking about the car, he first asked if we were safe. Great dude! Would rent from him again.
Q the owner happened to be out of town. So he had his brother pick me up...the first thing I noticed was how unbelievable bad the car smelled and how filthy it was. On top of that, his brother began to talk about his use of drugs including cocaine, shrooms, etc. He also said he was still high from doing drugs the night before and began to talk about his sexual activities with numerous girls. He proceeded to show me pictures, which I felt would be inappropriate, so I denied, he began to get verbally aggressive bc he was offended that I had no interest in seeing any pictures. I felt very unsafe and ended up returning the car the same day.
Q , the owner followed up, shortly after I was picked up and I told him about the situation. He began to get angry at me, saying that he will not Tolerate me insulting his family member and saying he was on drugs. I told Q that I was just repeating what his brother had told me. Q continued with trying to blame me for not taking the situation so lightly...but who in their right mind does, when the driver clearly states his use of drugs at that time.
I requested to end my trip early and Q wrote me back trying to hold a refund over my head saying he will only accept it if I DO NOT LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW. This is my first time using TURO and I WAS EXTREMELY APPALLED at everything that was happening. What a nightmare.....I ended up sharing screenshot text messages to TURO as proof too. thank goodness I had ended up saving them.
I would suggest stay away as far as possible from this owner and his vehicle(s) on her.
Our trip was fantastic. I was a little skeptical of Turo in the beginning but I did some research and it seemed to be a good option for us. I highly recommend renting with Q. He picked us up at the airport and we were in our rental in minutes. He was very friendly and knew a lot about the area and could answer any of our questions.
The car itself ran great and the AC mentioned in some other comments worked beautifully. The car is used, so there is a bit of interior staining and dirt and exterior scratches and such. This didn't take anything away from our trip and we were happy to have such a great vehicle.
This renal was very unsatisfactory. We rented a 5 passenger car and we were transporting 5 people. QB wanted us to pick him up on our way to the airport ( which is where our reservation was to begin and end) There would not have been room in the car. No help from him was provided. The car could have easily been returned on time however we had to end up leaving it in the parking garage at the airport so he could pick it up at the airport. To be charged $75 extra for this mess is unreasonable. I would like to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.
QB was very quick in response time every time I texted him. The pickup from the airport was prompt and the ride to get the car was short. However, the car is worn and the air conditioning didn't work. It was a hot day so the three hour drive on the freeway was awful because we had to roll the windows down (super loud, windy, exhaust fumes). Luckily for us, the weather was cool so we were uncomfortable only one of the days. Also, the tire gauge light was on all weekend. Other than that, the car is spacious and comfortable. The drop off was very easy. We arrived at the meeting point and Uber arrived only minutes later to take us over to the airport. If the air conditioning worked and the tire gauge light wasn't on, I would give 5 stars. Customer service was excellent!
QB was great to rent from and very flexible through flight delays. The CR-V was in good condition and spacious for our family. My only complaint was the AC wasn't working, but the part has already been ordered. I would definitely rent from QB again.
