I used the car since the beginning of December and it started off good. I only met Robert once or twice I believe but dealt with his wife throughout having the car in my possession. What started out on good terms ended in poor taste. The car is a great car and good if you have children as I do. The outside has some noticeable damage to the hood and a busted light in the left front corner that you can't really see in the photos unless you look close but it was something that I could still live with. It was not clean when I got it but that was something I was also able to deal with because I always take the cars to get detailed after getting them. I had a family trip to Michigan and wasn't able to extend on time and informed Tari once she inquired about extending. I was not driving the car so insurance coverage shouldn't have been an issue for that day and Turo has the ability to go back to charge for any day that wasn't covered. Even though I communicated with her and informed her I had to work the following morning, she reported the car as missing! You would think that common courtesy would be extended for someone who has done business with you for five months but that was a wish. I moved to Dallas during the time of having it and made her aware before but mentioning it again to her seemed foreign. After calmly talking to her for the sake of not stressing her unborn child, she still remained disrespectful. She demanded that I return the car to Houston at 9:49 at night and proceeded to tell me how she was over Turo and it's renters. Apparently whatever happened with her other renters caused her to release her frustrations on me. It was impossible for me to return the car do to my work schedule so maybe after speaking to her husband(I'm guessing), I was allowed to extend until Friday. The Wednesday prior to return, I was informed of a $40 toll charge which I said I would take care of(without asking for the toll receipts). The next morning she sent a reminder and I started making the payment. I sent 10 from a visa gift card and was proceeding to do the 30 with my debit card. Before I could finish, I received another text saying "$10, really?" and that I would not be granted an extension so have it back by the end of my reservation (Friday-10am... work hours). I didn't have any more energy to explain so I agreed and drove through the night to Houston and returned it. I washed the car once I made it to Houston and left the car in front of the office. The vacuum was out of order and no detail shops were open at 12:30 in the morning of course. That morning Robert text me in Turo to only inquire about the location of key and had no other concern. Minutes later I get another nasty text from his wife about the remaining of the toll and the car being dirty (literally a few specs of dirt and grass) . I informed her that it was unfair for her to initially give me a dirty car but throw a fit that I didn't have time to vacuum inside at midnight. The reservation on not so good terms and by her saying God saw everything( I'm guessing the dirt pieces) and that she would never do business with me again. After her tantrums, I realized that I was dodging a bullet. Robert seems like a nice person but his wife was a nightmare at the end. I would not rent again!
