We love this car. My wife refers to the Element as "The Toaster." This is a great vehicle for a Portland trip, weather that's in the city proper, out in the gorge for hiking, or out at the coast.
The Element is a 2 door (with 2 access doors), 4 seat car. It is all-wheel drive with snow tires (in winter) and has a great sound system. The seats in the back of the Element fold completely up so that you have the storage of a small truck but completely covered. The interior floor is a rubber liner which makes the Element very durable so if your need to haul furniture, a lot of luggage, or even a dog, it's no problem.
More details about our Element:
-Location is close to our airport
Our charge for airport pickup and drop off is comparable to an uber or taxi to our location (10 minutes from the Portland airport). If an airport pick up/drop off won't work for us, we have a simple system for getting you the key and for dropping it back off. When you book with us we'll give you clear instructions and we'll always be available to answer questions if needed.
We are humans, not robots. We know travel and renting from strangers can be stressful. We will do whatever we can to make your renting experience with us easy and strait forward.

AIRPORT PICKUP INFO:
Either me or my wife are happy to pick you up from the airport however, we do ask that you help us out with this.
When we pick you up from the airport, instead of giving you the car there, we will first take you back to our location so we can have a strait forward way to get home. Likewise when your trip is over, we would ask that you pick us up on the way back to the airport. If you're new to Turo, this is pretty common for car owners. For most owners like us (renting cheaper vehicles) paying for an Uber or Taxi starts to defeat the purpose of giving such great prices to you. We really appreciate you being flexible in this way.
Our location from the airport is really convenient (10 minutes without traffic) and we're located close to every highway once you get here.
When you reserve our Element, we ask that you let us know which airline you'll be coming in on and then let us know if you plan to check luggage. IF you are checking luggage we ask that you text me or message me here on Turo AFTER you land. This helps us because we can time arriving at the airport more accurately rather than having to wait in the terminal for you to get off the plane and retrieve your luggage, which is not fun for us.
Look for the Element curbside outside of baggage claim when you arrive!
-Please, no smoking of any kind.
-Pets are fine.
-Please keep the interior clean.
-If you go on a longer drive and the exterior gets really dirty, please run it through a car wash.

The car was perfect for our trip. The car was clean, spacious, and we loved how easy it was for us to throw our bags in the trunk. We felt safe, even when driving through very rainy conditions. Russell was quick to respond to questions and he was very accommodating.
Russell was able to have the car ready to go on short notice, at 6:30 am the following morning! The car runs great and is super practical. I think I'm going shopping for one after I finish writing this.
Russell and Amy are the best! Russell kept great communication with me the entire trip and him and Amy were incredibly kind! My flight got into Oregon earlier than expected and they were really flexible about meeting earlier than the original scheduled time. The car was perfect for my PNW adventures. Very spacious, clean, and great gas mileage! Really easy to handle on the wet roads too! Definitely would recommend Russell and Amy to anyone looking to travel to Oregon!
Renting Russ's ride was a smooth, pleasant and convenient experience. He was prompt to pick us up from the PDX airport, and flexible with our returning of the vehicle. The process was a breeze, but perhaps the best part, was the vehicle itself. We were headed to Sunriver for a wedding and opted for the scenic route through the gorge and past Mt Hood. Then we took it snowboarding up at mount bachelor, it handled like a beast. Let me elaborate - sunriver was covered in about 5ft of snow. Most roads were decent, but the Element was excellent even when the roads were covered in ice and slick with wet snow. We had no issues at all! The AWD was exactly what we needed when the road conditions were unfavorable (to say the least!). Thankful for the car and Russ's cool, can do attitude. I'd definitely rent from him again!
My wife and I rented from Russell for our Portland, mount hood, and tillamook trip. He was very professional and gave us some good tips on food and breweries. The car was very reliable and it didn't give us any problems while driving to and from the snow. Highly recommended!
Russell was very easy to work with and the car was even better for the area! solid snow tires made the car easy to use around the portland area. Highly recommend especially if you need more space in the car!
Best Turo experience yet! Russell was super easy to contact and flexible with our flight times even though we had a 1 year old with us. He arrived at the airport as soon as we landed and the car was in amazing condition! He is super helpful in recommendations of things to do and make the trip a great overall experience. I highly recommend him and will use them again!
Russell and Amy were easy to communicate with and reliable. The Honda Element was a great vehicle with no issues, very versatile, and good gas mileage for an SUV. Highly recommend these folks & the Element. Thanks Amy & Russell!
