a nice couple from England recently completed a 10k+ mile journey in this car all over the western US and into Canada - needless to say this car is VERY RELIABLE.
**I work within walking distance of Union Station in downtown Saint Louis; where the MegaBus stop is as well as a MetroLink (Union Station) train stop (which can connect you to Lambert airport in 20min).
Here is a small SUV that gets decent mileage, and you could fit a dresser in the back of it (seats fold down). How awesome is that. This car is a 1999 but it only has ~90k miles on it. So it runs great (also doesn't hurt that it's a Toyota ;-) Plus I put new tires, new shocks/struts, and a new battery in last Fall.
AND I increased my per day mileage limit to 250 (the default (everyone else's) is 200/day)
-There is a 2 bike bike rack mounted to the rear of the car, it need not be removed to open the rear door :-)
-I keep a portable air pump and jump starter in the back should you need it. It also has lights and AC and DC power outlets.
-I also keep a ~3ft snow scraper/brush in the car.
-It has a fantastic custom stereo and hooks up with either a lightning cable or aux/headphone cable
-All the windows are tinted for your privacy (this way you can sing your face off w/out people staring at you).
-There is a bull guard on the front, so any minor front accidents are a non issue :-)
-Full size spare tire, and a jack under the passenger seat
-Keyless entry with REMOTE START :-)
-All-wheel drive: snow/ice is a non-issue!
-The drivers side rear door does not open from the inside.
I take a lot of pride keeping my car clean and neat. To that end, please:
During the workweek you may pick it up near Union Station. Off hours from my home in Tower Grove.
PICKING UP THE CAR:
I'm attached to my phone which will probably lead to cancer but on the upside I'm very easy to get a hold of and generally always available. That is to say, working out how/when to pick up the car will be easy :-)
*LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY?
I partner with my friend Tim on AirBnB. He has a 2bd 1ba condo for rent in the city for $49/night. You can check it out at the following link:

Patrick was extremely responsive and accommodating during the rental process. His car was clean and drove perfectly. The size of the Rav4 is perfect for transporting things like coolers that don't fit in smaller trunks.
I had a great trip in Patrick's car, had no problems with the vehicle and he was exceptionally communicative and easy to deal with. It definitely made my trip a lot smoother, knowing that I could call him if I ran into problems. Fortunately, that wasn't necessary. If I'm in St. Louis again, I'll definitely look into renting from Patrick again.
A few ratings were between four and five but otherwise VERY good! Patrick was easy and accommodating plus dropped me off when I was complete! Car drives very well for such an old one! Does not have radio but that is probably good as I was in unfarmilar roads. car goes 75 mph easy!
Couldn't ask any more of Patrick or the Rav4. Went from St. Louis to San Diego then up to Vancouver across to Calgary and back again to St. Louis (covering around 10,500 miles). Visited mountainous areas as well as cities and the car was great in both. A very versatile ride I'd say. Any minor issues were resolved by Patrick who was constantly available via phone and email. I would not hesitate to hire the car again given the opportunity. Thanks again Patrick!
I rented the Toyota Rav4 for 2 days a temporary vehicle to help me search for a new car. Patrick was extremely flexible and was able to give exchange the care downtown near Union Station. He went above/beyond by assisting me in picking up my new vehicle in Jefferson County. I will recommend Patrick's Toyota Rav4 to guests that stay at my house and anyone living in the city need a rental car.
We got lucky stumbling upon this ride. Our family of four took Amtrak into St. Louis, arriving and departing on Sundays, when local car rental agencies have limited hours. Turo, which we'd never even heard of before, was the economical and sensible option because of Patrick and his RAV4.
Patrick is located close to the downtown STL train station, and he offered to pick us up and drop us off (for which we thought he earned a thank-you tip). He's quick to respond to texts and other communication, and he even offered to give us ideas for places to go in town.
The RAV4 is small for an SUV, but it was great for schlepping us (with two kids in car seats, and the necessary luggage) between St. Louis and Columbia, Mo. It was a little sluggish accelerating uphill, but it was fine in the city; just don't go renting it for a mountainous trek.
Patrick is friendly, flexible and thoughtful -- his vehicle has extras like an emergency battery jumper, which he'd just charged up, and a tin of spare change, which we raided and then replenished to feed parking meters. Like they say on eBay, AAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++, WOULD RENT FROM AGAIN. Good guy, good car.
Thanks again, Patrick! The car was just what we needed to travel through an ice/snow storm on our way back from Branson. Patrick is a nice guy that takes pride in his ride. He even offered to pick us up from Union Station when we arrived, andus a shout to crash, since our flight was canceled due to the winter storm. Thanks again for the ride to the airport, which completely exceeded or expectations. :D
