Range and Charging
The car will show 230 miles of range when fully charged but from 80mph speed and hard acceleration, it could go way down to 170 miles of range. The projected range can be found at the energy tab. Also, navigation will warn you if you don’t have enough to reach your destination. You might need to use alternative mapping (google map) if you have more than one destination to make sure you have enough battery. Just in case you do not have superchargers in your route please download Plugshare app on your phone and get yourself familiar where you will be able to charge. On the app go to filters then connectors select EV Plug (J1772), NEMA 14-50 and of course Tesla connectors. The car has dual chargers so if you find Tesla destination charger with 80amp you will be able to charge the car in 4 hours. Please plan to dedicate a lot of hours for charging (3 miles per hour with a regular 110V outlet, 25 miles per hour with level 2 public charging station). Most public charging stations will have the J1772 connector. The adaptor for those charging stations is included with the travel charger. Before unplugging press the button on the plug and wait 1 second until the light on the car's charging port changes to white color.
