Large 8 passenger vehicle ready for your island adventure! First time with Turo? Click on this link for $25 off your rental! https://turo.com/c/maliau
Park car in same stall where you found the car (see above). Leave key in the lockbox. If you have any problems please call or text me.
For HNL deliveries, the car will be parked at the open air, interisland parking lot on the west end of the airport. It is located across from the post office. The key will be in a lockbox under the rear license plate. I will text you a picture of the exact location of where the car is parked along with the code for the lockbox. Please make sure you provide me with a current cell phone number where you can retrieve that information.
Animals welcome but please return the car clean. No smoking. Please return the car in the condition in which is was rented to you. If the car is excessively dirty and sandy on the inside, there will be a $75 fee to cover cleaning costs.

Malia was very accommodating. It's great to have a local car! Sure, there are some dings and scratches, but that doesn't take away from the value of the rental, the value of driving a local vehicle, and the convenience of the airport drop off/pick up. Malia's Sequoia was big enough for our family of 6 plus luggage. She picked up the car curbside at our departure gate which was very convenient with our four children. Thanks Malia!
Malia was very responsive from the moment we requested to rent her vehicle. The pickup location was convenient and easily accessible. She was thoughtful enough to check in with me to make sure the vehicle was properly accommodating our short two day rental period. I reluctantly had to ask her to extend our rental period by an hour, which could have been an inconvenience to her, but she approved and was nice as ever when we met to return the vehicle. The vehicle itself is in good condition and if you have a lot of cargo, as we did, it gets the job done perfectly. I would recommend this vehicle and lender to anyone.
The picture of this vehicle is not at all accurate. Dings, bangs holes and such are all over this vehicle. The engine sounds like the waterpump and the wheel bearings are shot. Brakes could use some work as well. I know its not a brand new car but at least it has to be a workable unit. Malia has to work on her communication skills. Informed her that i needed to extend but she rented it out already. No big deal washed the car, filled out the gas and informed her repeatedly that she has to vacuum the vehicle since its Hawaii you can't help hat to get sand in rhe car. At any rate returned the car and a day later, she wanted to charge me $75 for cleaning! She is nice upfront but after shes done with you beware of her tactics. I think shes a bit sneaky and needs to work on her communications skills. Buyer beware.
The Toyota Sequoia worked great for my family. Although it's an older car there were no mechanical problems and it was decent on gas. Malia had already notified me before hand that the trunk handle had broke (which she was fixing right after we dropped off the SUV) but that the window of the trunk still opened so that we could still use the trunk for loading. She was nice and easy to communicate with. Definitely worth the affordable price to rent and a much better deal than renting through a rental car company.
It was really convenient on getting the car then dropping it off. The Sequoia was perfect for our trip because of the size and the air condition was so nice and strong. I would definitely rent from Malia again.
