Christi, barely spoke any English and communication was very poor. We asked for a pickup location more convenient for us, and he refused to even consider it. Furthermore, he put us at serious risk because both his license and registration were expired. As a result, we were confronted by the police and threatened with arrest. This happened in front of out of town business associates. When we explained we could not drive the car anymore after this encounter, he charged us for not filling the car with gas even though it was not legal to even drive the car. We asked for a refund for the risk he had caused for us and our business, and instead he decided to charge us more for excess miles and gas. He also claimed damage to a trunk release mechanism that we definitely did not cause and said he'd be kind enough to not charge us for the false claim and for having to pick up the car even though it wasn't legal for us to drive it. He violated Turo's terms and broke the law.
