2005 Jeep Liberty - 4WD
What a better way to see and enjoy the mountains and cities of Colorado than in a Jeep. This is a 4WD and rides smooth with plenty of room for luggage. The seats fold down for camping and snow gear. A bike or ski rack is available upon request. Pickup and drop off is very convenient. Avoid the hassle of renting from another company and know what you are getting. Please give your contact information when you make the reservation to make the process quicker. I look forward to your reservation and helping you enjoy your visit.

This was our first experience with renting a vehicle through a private owner and Turo, and I have to say it may be our last. Our family was heading to the mountains for an annual ski trip, and from the moment we stepped into this vehicle, we did not feel safe. The pick up/drop off wasn't that convenient. My bother also rented through Turo and his driver met him at the airport which was much better. In our situation, my husband got to the hotel where the instructions said the vehicle would be ready, but instead he had to wait for the owner to show up delaying our road trip. There were several issues/concerns with this vehicle beginning with an inoperable driver side door handle (driver couldn't get out of the vehicle without someone else letting him out), wiper blades needed to be replaced (it snowed during our trip which impaired the vision of the driver), bald tires (huge concern as we were heading into the mountains with snow forecasted), the check engine light was on the entire trip (have photos), low tire pressure light came on, car would slow down on inclines due to loss of power (would only go 30-35 mph), we are not sure if the 4WD was operating properly, we could not change from 4WD hi to low, and when we turned the wheel sharply in either direction there was a loud clunk. We also experienced during this trip a time where there was a terrible noise as we were idling that couldn't be explained. We got out of the vehicle and were very concerned about continuing (we have a video). We went over the issues with Gina after the trip. At first she was very concerned and seemed willing to work with us given our experience. She admitted that the tires needed to be replaced and through diagnostic codes from the "check engine light" realized the spark plugs needed to be replaced as well. In a period of a week, Gina went from being sorry about our experience to making excuses and basically calling us liars about the issues we raised. She did not agree to discounting our trip. If we had rented a vehicle from a reputable company, we would have received a complete refund for this debacle. Our family felt unsafe the entire time we were in this vehicle. I recommend you look elsewhere before renting this car.
This was my first time using Turo. If you're looking for something super simple to get you from point A to point B, then definitely rent this truck. Overall, everything worked out fine. The truck didn't break down, we had transportation, and ended up having a blast in Denver.
It would have been a home run, but we had to take taxi (Lyft) from the airport to a mechanic where the vehicle was being serviced. Big bummer since we booked a vehicle to be at the airport because we had a ton of luggage and preferred the convenience of not lugging our stuff around. Also, the inside of the truck could have used some cleaning. It had just snowed all the week prior so I totally understand the exterior's condition. No communication from the host prior to the trip despite my serval attempts and messages. Fortunately, on the day of arrival the host contacted us and was extremely helpful navigating us through the confusion and doing her best to meet our expectations. Life happens and plans unexpectedly change we will definitely rent through her again. Thanks!
