The prefect ski-trip rental.
I've got snow-tires on there for the winter, and it's got all-wheel-drive which means you won't need to install chains. It's also great for peace of mind, knowing that you'll have much more stability and control in icy conditions.
Pre-installed ski-rack can fit up to 6-pairs of skis, or up to 4 snowboards.
The V-8 makes for easy mountain climbing too
Snow tires or chains
For SNA airport pickup: I live about 10 minutes from SNA, so I can pick you up, drive back to my house, and finish the Turo checkout process there.
For pickup at my location: if you need to leave your car at my house during the trip, that isn't an issue, the neighborhood requires a parking permit, but I can put you on the guest-list during the rental.
If you are coming from the SNA, and uberx or lyft costs about $13 to get to my house for pickup.
2007 Volvo XC90Danny's Volvo1559
Danny was great to work with. He was flexible in the timing for both the pickup and dropoff, and his Volvo was spotless. He was kind enough to add a ski rack to the vehicle to help us carry our gear. This Volvo is the perfect ski vehicle - we encountered compact snow and ice on the 395 up to Mammoth, and the car handled effortlessly, especially using the manual transmission option.
Danny is a really nice guy and the car is exactly as advertised. The one thing I felt was probably just miscommunication was the whole delivery process. Danny offers a PICK-UP service, not a delivery. I feel it needs to be mentionned since Danny met me at my location and then I had to drive him back to his home. Same thing on the return. I drove to him and he drove me back. A pick up service is often fine and all you need but there are cases where time can be factor and knowing this is a pickup and not a delivery service needs to be clearly stated from the get go. Especially if you charge for it.
