2008 Land Rover LR2Sean's Land Rover154.540
Motorization of the Sunroof isn't functioning. Passenger side rear window intermittent. Charger port intermittent. Sean Communication was always prompt and courteous.
Sean and his valet guy were great. They were very accessible and responded to my questions immediately. Picking the car up from the Turo lot at SFO was easy and very convenient. Only issue with me were a few details on the car Itself that might have affected my rental decision:
- Sun roof doesn't work and won't close completely (won't leak because of tape used on roof to seal the opening)
- Back passenger-side door won't open from outside (child lock is broken)
- Car has 137k+ miles on it (to be expected on a 2008 car)
In all, I'd rent it again. It rides super smooth and is still a great car.
The car rode smoothly and was good on gas. The sunroof won't completely close though so when driving down the highway there is a lot of wind noise in the car. Also had a moment when the middle console was resetting itself after turning the car off briefly, this persisted until the next time the car was shut off. Overall, good trip just some things i would've liked to know beforehand.
Fantastic car for my trip through Tahoe and back. Didn't miss a beat and Sean and his crew couldn't have been better with their service. This was my first Turo experience. I will never rent from corporate rentals again if I can help it..
Unfortunately, there was an unexpected troubling noise coming from the engine and I was advised not to take the car. I promptly returned it to the Turo lot. This was disappointing as we had planned a trip for the long weekend and were forced to take a much more expensive alternative.
Instructions were clear on where to go to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was clean inside but s bit dirty outside. We didn't care though since the weather was rainy and foggy. The Land Rover was cool and we didn't have any problems with it, it drives like a champ.
Had a mixed time with this vehicle. In the end it was great, but the original booking was cancelled whilst we were on our flight into SFO due to a coolant leak with the previous rental. It took three days to fix and we managed to re-book. Once we had the vehicle it was excellent, though there were one or two electrical issues which again weren't show stoppers and have been reported to Sean who will have them seen to. Sean was responsive and polite at all times via the Turo app, though his valet Jon, the guy we met with the vehicle was more interested in his phone than interacting with us. Also there was a $5.50 charge to get out of the ALoft car park when we picked up which was a bit cheeky. All in all we had a great trip and would use Turo and Sean, and this Landrover again if here in SFO.
It's a five stars for the 2009 land rover. We rent the 2008 land rover but we were not able lock one door. Sean was very reactive and gave us the 2009 land rover the same day. Really nice car with space to enjoy Roads in California. I recommend the 2009 model.
We needed big, reliable car to get 4 people + supplies to and from a big book fair (where we were exhibitors over the weekend). Sean's Land Rover did that job perfectly AND more! It's super clean, comfortable and a total pleasure to drive. Sean was prompt and helpful in all our messaging and his assistant, Jon, was great, too. Plus, dropping off at Aloft was a breeze. There are some minor issues with the car (e.g. a few cosmetic things, an inoperable sunroof), but these were all acknowledged by Sean and his assistant without a fuss and they didn't affect the drive/comfort/reliability in any way. Sean has priced this rental very fairly. I would definitely rent it again.
Overall I have no complaints about renting Sean's Range Rover. For the price, I couldn't beat the luxury and storage space. It fit 4 full size bags, plus smaller carryons with no problem. It does have a few cosmetic issues(documented dents and dings), and had some issues that I was not made aware of prior to the trip; currently, the rearview mirror is attached with packing tape. Sean said he chose this solution instead of canceling my reservation; I would have cancelled my reservation myself if I had been made aware of this ahead of time. The other issue being the more serious one is that the drivers side airbag light was lit up for the duration of the trip which indicates it be taken to a mechanic immediately via the instruction manual. Sean was very quick to respond to me about this, and said his vehicle had recently been through a 200 point inspection.
Sean's Landrover was perfect for exploring Tahoe and the rest of the Californian outback. Sean and Mark (Turo) were quick to respond to questions when asked. Things we liked best was the 4WD/AWD, Aux input for iPhone to listen to our own tunes, electric seats and enough space to bring skiing gear. We loved the 4 settings for the 4WD and used the ice setting in Tahoe as well as the mud setting in Jeridiah Smith Redwood National Park. We love Turo - we only wish that it was available in the UK!
First time using Turo and I must say that Sean provided the essential element for a successful Yosemite/Tahoe adventure. I couldn't have been more pleased with the car itself and the service/ease of getting the vehicle to/from SFO. Thanks Sean!
The car was a ton of fun to drive and had plenty of space. Really appreciated the way it handled the winding roads, uphill climbs, and downhills on our trip to Yosemite. It was a smooth and comfortable ride the whole way.
Sean was incredibly responsive and Mark from Turo even picked us up from the airport so we didn't have to shuttle to the hotel, even though it was only a few extra minutes away, which made our lives much easier.
Very happy with the performance and incredibly happy with the price as well! 5 stars hands down
ONE SWEET RIDE! Drove Sean's Rover around the area for the better part of a month and had a very enjoyable experience. Sean is very attentive, easy to deal with and an overall very good guy. Moving forward this will be my rental vehicle of choice in the Bay Area!! Thanks Sean!!
Sean was great from the moment we started looking, until the end of the trip. He communicated well with us. The Land Rover was a ton of fun to drive. We went up Big Sur and it handled super well. Thank you for an awesome trip!
