The vehicle is great in general and Powai did a good job of picking us up from the airport and then bringing us back to his shop to drop him off before we kept the vehicle. I thought the fact that we had to bring him back to his shop would be really difficult but it honestly was easier than the process to get a rental car. It took about 10 mins. We did wait a bit for Powai to get to the airport- about 20 mins after we had texted him we were at the airport and ready for him he got there.
The car itself is fine. It's an older model and doesn't have conveniences like a USB port. The main issue I had with the car was the fact that the locks on the doors didn't lock with the key button or the driver door button. Some were broken and you had to manually lock them every time.
We ended up returning the car 2 days early because we didn't really want to bother with parking anymore in the city and I was hoping we might be eligible for a refund but nothing was mentioned about it so I didn't say anything either. Lesson learned and it served the purpose we needed it for. It had space for 4 adults and lots of luggage which was good. It has 133,000+ miles on it so it has seen better days but overall it was cheaper than a rental car so I'm happy.
We had a great time in San Fran and I'm so happy we were able to use the Pilot that had lots of space. We were four ladies with a baby so the extra trunk room was necessary. Pick up and drop off were easy. Our flight was delayed four hours and I was able to extend our rental which was a life saver!!
Powai and his car were amazing. Powai was very accommodating to our last minute changes due to bad weather in Tahoe and even gave me an impromptu ride back home when I dropped the car off so I wouldn't have to call an Uber. The car itself was well maintained and perfect for what we needed. Very happy with this experience.
