The car road well. The condition of the jeep could've been better. The soft top was hard to close and it also had some damage
The ride was great although the aux cord receiver had a short in it. There were multiple people dropping off at the same time and only one person handling all the car returns which caused a slight delay but other than that it was great. The man who came to pick us up and drop us off got our bags for my friends and I, which was so sweet. He also did a tutorial on how to remove the top before we drove off.
One thing to note is that the rental is not brought to the airport, you are picked up and brought to it and then expected to drop off and be driven to the airport. This in itself isn't too bad but just something to plan for as we did not know and added an additional hour to our schedule each way. Make sure to specify if you plan to use the convertible top to ensure you get one that goes up and down properly, our canvas too want quite ready to go up and down easily, but I assume there are ones that can if you ask. Otherwise the car and the process was really great for our first turo time. People that rode with us all downloaded the app because the rental was great and they wanted to try it. I would rent again.
The Good: Unlimited milage! Was perfect for what I needed.
The Bad: I didn't deal with the owner, I dealt with someone else. Trip started at 1:30pm- I informed the owner that my flight was delayed but I would still be ready around that time. I was outside waiting about 1:35 and didn't get the vehicle until 2pm. The vehicle was delivered to me with a quarter tank of gas and the AUX DID NOT WORK. There were tears in the soft top that I wasn't expecting that made it difficult to put the top back on. When delivering the vehicle back, I dealt with the same helper who hung the phone up on me when trying to explain where I was (The delivery location did not have parking. There was also trash in the car that I cleaned up myself.
This Jeep was a lot of fun to drive the CA coast with, but there were some major safety issues that we discovered along our route. The spare tire was flat on the back of the Jeep and the left, rear tire only had one lug nut. Traveling with my kids, that was pretty scary. We had a California Highway Officer assist us in trying to put another one on, but no luck. The canvas windows were very scratched and most of the zippers were torn or not working. The Jeep had a previous accident to the back gate with a large gash and this caused the back canvas/plastic window to not zip properly. We encountered a rain storm and our luggage was completely wet. I enjoyed the convenience of the airport pick up and drop off, but I really would have appreciated a vehicle that wasn't damaged and so beaten up. The inside was very clean. I think this vehicle would be a great rental if the damages and the safety issues were repaired. I'm not sure if I will go through Turo again.
got the car, no gas, had to immediately get to a filling station. radio didn't work for the first 2 days. and no windshield washer fluid. then, when it was time to return, we were told they would pick us up in the car and take us to airport, but instead we had to wait for an uber and transfer all of our luggage. waited in a total shady area at night, too. not happy, won't use turo again, because when i first contacted customer service, they obviously did not even read my email because they asked for pics to document my concerns. how do you take pics of a gas tank you already filled, a radio that doesn't work or empty windshield washer fluid?
The jeep was great and communication/delivery was quick and easy. One small issue was that the aux input does not work. Got a flat tire because the tire was previously damaged and repaired poorly. Ekaterina was able to send someone out to me and the tire was replaced quickly.
So... this isn't really curbside delivery. Not sure why Turo allows this to be listed as curbside when there is no way to actually do curbside delivery at LAX. But we had to wait for almost an hour for the "free shuttle' to pick us up.... only to have to be taken to another area off-site to actually pick up the car. It was nice having the Jeep in Southern California, but this is the barest, most minimal Jeep you can get (although my 7-year old was amazed at the roll-down handles for the windows!). Overall, with this being my first Turo experience-- don't think I'll use this service again. Not really worth the hassle.
They were very easy to communicate with and flexible with pickup/drop off time. Transport to and from airport was quick and easy. Friendly and convenient. My only reason for a 4 rather than 5 star rating was the car had a lot of miles on it for a supposed 2016. Anyway the vehicle was clean and worked fine and suited our needs. I would rent from them again.
Very easy! Dropped us off right to our terminal after we brought the car back and they brought the car straight to our hotel

Went really smoothly. The car was brand new, smelt of cigarette tho, but they apologized and offered to buy a car freshener. Communication was not to my liking as a first time customer, but in the end it was great.
