FREE CHARGING AT SUPERCHARGERS
Multiple USB jacks
I am available 24 hours for FaceTime/phone support, and also the car can be charged any time at my primary pick up location, or at one of the many superchargers, malls, etc. blanketing the nation. I have experience with road trips in this car and can help you with apps (like the Supercharger app that tells you the best restaurants and sights near the superchargers) and other pointers.
For airport delivery, I can either meet you at curbside or, if you are arriving late, leave the car in short term parking and remotely flash the lights to help you find it & unlock it with my iPhone. (We'll exchange photos of car for check-in inspection purposes). The key will be inside the rear trunk.
Please no pets or smoking. Please don't run the car to zero charge. Call me 24 hours a day or use the free Tesla 24 hour road service with any questions.
HOW FAST DOES IT CHARGE AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
FREE CHARGING at all superchargers with this car, also at my primary pickup location at any time (though the charging is slower). This car is equipped with "DUAL CHARGERS" which means it charges in HALF THE TIME of an average Tesla. You press on the left-side red taillight flasher and it magically pops open to reveal the charge port--plug the cable in and it flashes green and the dash of the car tells you it is charging and how long it will take to fill to selected capacity. Also most nice hotels now have Tesla charging in their lots. Typically, you can fill the car 80% in about 20 minutes... the time it takes to use a restroom and buy a milkshake.
WILL I EVER RUN OUT OF CHARGE?
Your dash gives you an estimated number of miles remaining in the "tank". If you drive like a maniac (hard not to, in this car), you might use the miles faster. As long as you are using the navigation system, the car will tell you if you need to slow down or charge soon. PLEASE DO NOT RUN THE TANK TO ZERO ON PURPOSE. I heard this might cause expensive damage to the car. If it gets low, and you don't know where to go, there is free Tesla road service 24 hours a day. Also, I can help you (again, call me 24 hours a day). Don't worry if you get stuck in traffic - that doesn't really seem to use much charge (unless the a/c is running full blast). I've driven to Vegas many times, in fact I went on a 6,000 mile road trip in this car with my kids and I can say the only time I had trouble was in Wyoming where the speed limit was 120 and I used up charge faster than expected (I worried but never really got stuck -- though I did find out that you can get a fast charge at just about any RV park! I didn't have to.)
