The car is a a spacious but powerless SUV- ok for the city; hopeless on the highway. "Nik" is a group of quite intimidating looking men, they showed up all together (4 )to pick up the car and tried to bully me into paying for a car wash in an almost spotless car. Also when I had a minor issue with the car they were not responsive. It is my personal opinion that this is not the kind of customer service you are looking for in Turo , a supposedly friendly peer to peer service.
Such a great value for money car, basically brand new, comfortable, easy to drive and fits luggage. Not to big, but great on the road running around. Just note you will pick up from the Turo lot, not airport pickup, so just factor in 15-20mins extra, but the pickup and drop off process is easy. Thanks for a great car Nik
Short version: Nik shouted and threatened me with fines, telling me I had to drop the car off at a different location than scheduled. Would not reuse or recommend.
Long version: Nik confirmed a change in trip drop off on Thursday. Between Thursday and Sunday, he messaged me telling me to drop the car off at the original location. These messages didn't give me push notifications (as was later confirmed by a customer service rep). Sunday morning, I wake up to a call from customer service telling me to call him, which I do. I've already got travel plans set, but he shouts that I've got to return the car to the original location. After we get nowhere, we link in a customer service rep who lets him know that the customer notifications are different and that the scheduled drop off is the correct location for me to drop off. He yells again to the point that they ask him to calm down. Then he says that she sided with me (the customer) and demands a manager. I end up doing the 3+ hour drop off to avoid him charging me excess cleaning fees etc., but it was a terrible experience overall. I'm sure he's fine when everything works, but when there's a hitch he loses it.
