If this car is not available, we have plenty of other cars available:
This was my friend and I'd first time using Turo. I should have booked the car "before" our trip but due to last minute errands that took place I wasn't able to and decided that when we landed in LA I'd just book one fast after grabbing our luggage. Due to it being Veterans Day, weekend a lot of cars that I had looked at and saved to "my favorites" prior to our trip. Were no longer available anymore. After searching and searching we finally found Eric's Jeep Wrangler available. I booked it and quickly got an uber to take me to the location the car was at. We get there granted Eric was very friendly as well as even let us get into the Jeep about 30 mins before the time we booked, initially getting into the car after Eric gave us the keys and walked back into the office we noticed the car rinked of the smell of marijuana. (I'm not sure whether it were whoever rented before us or not) but we drove off in hopes that the smell would ultimately die considering the amount of car fresheners that were in the car.
Needless to say we kept the car for a day. The marijuana smell was extremely strong and lingered the entire time we had the vehicle. The vehicle also felt extremely unsafe to drive. I had to press the gas hard to switch speeds and then braking was extremely unsafe (you almost had to slam the break to get the truck to stop). My biggest concern and I think the icing on the cake was when I returned the car I wanted to make sure that "I" wasn't charged for the smell that was in the car when we picked it up and was STILL in the car when we dropped it off. The guy who I left the keys with I explained that there was a smell when I got the car and that I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged being I saw in the listing that there was a fee for smoking in the vehicle. He told me it shouldn't have been a problem and that he'd let Eric know. Before leaving I ended up seeing Eric and repeated what I told the male I left the keys with and he had the audacity to say to me "are you serious this is a brand new car no ones even been in it yet besides you" . LUCKILY I don't think I was charged extra for the situation but the fact you would lie and say that I was the first one to drive the vehicle when there's endless reviews on this car is mind boggling ?.. That obviously goes to show that there were other people in the vehicle of reviews are being produced. Other then that the car also had wires hanging from under the steering wheel which I noticed when driving something was hitting my leg and long behold when I came to a ref light I noticed there were wires. I rarely write reviews - but I HIGHLY only recommend this vehicle if you need a car for a few hours or for small errands for the day. As far as long road trips or long distances I just feel the car is really not safe.
