Daniel was prompt, considerate, and easy to get ahold of. This is an older vehicle, and no-frills, but it was reliable and responsive to drive. Two cautions: 1) the stereo speakers are shot, so don't expect to listen to the radio or CDs; and 2) there is no out-of-sight storage (no "trunk"), and this is a soft-top convertible…so if you're traveling with anything valuable, you may not want to leave it sitting in the vehicle unattended.
The car has good value for its cost. It is an old car which works well and as such it can be used. It is clean and powerful. Very easy to pick up and to return, the owner answers promptly also if there is something you need to know and is very kind. I shall keep using this car!
Daniel and his wife were very good about communicating promptly and helping me get acquainted with the car -- there was a bit of jiggling necessary.
It was unfortunate that I had to drive in the rain: the car felt unsafe because it was hard to see at times -- there's no rear-defogger feature.
Also, the car doesn't have power steering -- I now appreciate how important that is. It was definitely hard to turn the wheel at times.
Overall, Daniel is a good owner. The car is almost 20 years old and it feels its age.
This little Tracker is a fun beast. I'm guessing it's been geared as a city-dweller's off-road vehicle; the transmission felt like it was geared a bit low and the suspension is a bit active, but all of these things shouldn't bother you much getting around town. And if you're someone who hasn't driven stick for a while, it's nice to get a chance to play Indiana Jones as you run a couple errands.
A great vehicle for the price! Drove all over the bay area with it, top down, which is super easy to take on and off. Pleasant ride, and the owner was flexible and communicative. Only word of advice be mindful that your luggage is visible through a soft canvas and although the car is perfectly roomy, trunk space is small. So just plan to consolidate your luggage and enjoy!
I've rented out Daniel's Tracker twice now, and each time was a wonderful experience. The jeep is in great condition and Daniel is easy to work with. This last time I ran into 3 ridiculously long traffic jams. Daniel was very understanding and let me keep the jeep several hours longer so I could finish my move (I'd paid for the full day). I appreciated it very much. I highly recommend renting from Daniel!
I adored riding this car for my recent trip out to Big Sur. It handles and rides very well, is surprisingly really good on gas, and was generally a lot of fun to drive. Daniel was also so accommodating and prompt in communication and accepting reservation changes. I will definitely be renting this car again. Thanks!
I loved this Tracker, it made me want to get one of my own :) It's an older car, so it shifts like a old truck, but I actually really like that. Got good gas mileage too!

Daniels tracker is awesome! It was perfect for exploring and getting around the Bay Area! We got north of 28mpg! Being a tall guy, I loved the headroom, it felt like I was in a 1500 pickup! When it came to parking, it was the easiest thing I have ever parallel parked (very important when running around East Bay or anywhere for that matter.) Daniel got back to me right away and was more than helpful! Definitely recommend!!!
