2007 Chevrolet TahoeTHE TAHOE153.56
This was my first time renting from Turo and I have to say I was more than happy with the experience and with the car.
The Tahoe was the perfect size for my family of 6 adults for a weekend. I could carry camping gear, food supplies and other nits fairly conveniently. Shaun is a very professional and friendly guy. He is upfront with what he can and can't do and that gives you confidence while renting. I never met the guy and both pick up and drop off was through his friend.
Both are quite responsive to text messages and that made it convenient to work with. I didn't have problems with the battery like others have mentioned. That's probably because the guy who gave me the vehicle said he fixed it. However, the jump start box in the second row gave me a scare because I've never operated one. Luckily I didn't have to either. The car could do with a little cleaning because it had a strange odor to it. When you apply the brakes, it makes the car a little wobbly but that didn't worry me THAT much.
All in all both Shaun and his friend were accommodating and helpful. I'd definitely rent from them again.
Shaun is a nice enough guy, friendly and quick in response. However, his Tahoe was a nightmare. That truck has a major battery problem and requires special way to handle the alarm not to drain battery but Shaun failed to mention this crucial info. I did read a couple of reviews but I mistakenly assumed that it would be fixed by the time. How can someone rent out a car for money when the car has issues, right? Well, apparently it happens. There was not a single warning from the owner and no jump cables in the car either. He was out of town so dealt with his friend but it was very unprofessional. First, the car was DIRTY. I'm pretty sure it came straight from another renter as it had sticky stuff all over inside and dog hair everywhere. Not a very pleasing first impression. Shaun who usually responds right back did not respond to my comment about this. We were renting it for a whole week and we were determined not to ruin our vacation mood by being so negative so we went to a gas station to buy wipes to tidy up the car a little ourselves and put more gas. The car died on us. We were frantic without jump cables in an unfamiliar city. Luckily Shaun responds right away and sends his friend to help us out. A friend who doesn't know much about cars. My husband had to stay at the gas station for 3 hours, sweating like a pig on a hot day, waiting for this friend to make rounds to nearby mechanics and auto part shops. We totally missed the event that we were looking forward to attend. I was very annoyed and kept bugging Shaun but all he kept saying was sorry but it happens, nothing he can do, it's just battery. The friend brought jump box which wasn't working so we finally convinced him to buy jump cables and got the car started again. Apparently this friend had no money with him so he was trying to resolve issues without buying jump cables. We were told that there should be no problem anymore but we still wanted the jump cables just in case. The friend just took them away and returned for refund. Instead we were given another jump box which we had to pick it up adding mileage and time to our trip. Throughout our entire week, the car died 3 times more, we bought our own jump cables because jump box didn't work once, developed anxiety every time the car had to be started and even got into arguments over the stupid car. My first Turo experience and it was BAD.
My girlfriend and I had a great time in our rental and to top it off Shaun is a friendly and helpful owner. He gave me advice on how to avoid any problems with the battery and made it very simple for us to extend our ride! I hope others enjoy just as much as we did!!!!
Everything went good, except the fact the car died and was left stranded for two hours walking back down to main road for help. Make sure the battery has been replaced or that you travel with someone just in case. Everything else was okay

The Tahoe was in good working condition and served us well. I can't rate Shaun as being very professional. The car was not filled up with fuel and had a low tire. His 15 minutes to pick us up at the airport was 45 minutes. Just expect him to be running on a very lax schedule as we should have been.
Shaun is a nice guy. The 2nd day early in the morning I have a battery problem Shaun was able to help me with road assistance, he's like 24/7 on :)
Upon returning the car his late but he is easy to cooperate with, so we can figure how to solve the problem, not a biggy.
I'm would definitely rent his car again, hopefully this summer.
Its it recommended to rent from Shaun.
