Overall we had no problems and we were thankful for that. Carlos and his wife were very kind and helpful and the wifi was well appreciated. The car is clean and the body is in good shape but every time we slowed down the brakes were shaky like they needed new routers and a belt whined in the engine. It sounded like an emergency vehicle was off in the distance every time I got to a red light. It also shifted weird every once and awhile and with 178000 miles on a dodge caravan I felt as if it was a little bit of a gamble to drive this car as much as we did. In hind sight we would have been better off with a newer (less miles) better made vehicle. The carpet in the trunk area was also very loose and constantly slipped out from the plastic cap by the tail gate. There was also a missing lug nut that I realized the first time we got gas. Again very thankful to Carlos and his wife. They seem honest and very helpful. This was our first Turo rental. Next time we will rent newer, less miles, and probably a make/model we would consider buying.
I travel almost every week, and I have status in most of the big traditional rental outfits. I have to say that the convenience of curbside pick up and drop off took me by surprise. Carlos did everything to make this rental convenient,easy and painless. Highly recommended.
Carlos was VERY easy to work with. Our plans changed and he was flexible to bring the vehicle to our condo instead of the airport as initially setup. It was very clean, and he even had free WiFi setup in the van for us to use. The language barrier was even overcome by a translator app that he had on his phone for us to handle the drop off/pick up.
