Use this van cargo style and it will carry a huge amount of stuff, good for moving boxes and furniture. There are also two optional back seats which easily lock right in and turn it into a family trip van that can seat up to 8 people with seat belts. Great for camping and hauling, this van is very reliable and much better on gas than a full size van.
I use it for work just once or twice a month, the rest of the time it is available for your use! I recently installed a new stereo with an auxiliary input so you can listen to your music along the way. The A/C and heating both work great. Cruise control for long rides.
In response to the comments by previous renters: I use this van for camping and hauling gear, it is a worker van and it might have some dust on the dashboard. The turn signals work, and both the front and back brakes and the shocks are brand new. This is not a luxury vehicle, and there are some nicks and dents on its exterior, but it's super reliable and drives well and will get you and your family and/or stuff wherever you need to go. If you rent this VAN you should feel comfortable driving larger vehicles. If you want a reliable functional van this is for you.
Thanks for looking & have fun!
2000 Chevrolet AstroJessica's Astro Van154.511
Sadly, the Astro was broken into and damaged during my rental, but Jessica was *very* understanding, reasonable and communicative throughout the resolution and repair process. Five stars for her for excellent customer service and for being a mensch throughout.
The Astro worked out great! We needed 8 seats with seat belts and none of the rental companies could accommodate that request. The gas mileage wasn't the greatest, 12.5 mpg, but it was fine. We would rent it again.
Jessica's van rocked. I had haul some large items to the Eastern Sierra and was amazed how well it ran and how good the mileage was compared to other vans that size. For pick-up, I was able to easily bike to her house from the Lake Merritt BART station, and then put the bike in the van to drive home. THANKS Jessica!
