Our trip couldn't have gone much smoother. Once we landed at LAX communication with our driver was constant and clear. We waited about 15 minutes due to traffic, but were picked up right outside baggage claim. A short drive of site, pictures and questions, and we were off. Communication on our return was the same. The van was as described and met our needs. A very smooth process for our first experience with Turo.
Overall, the rental went okay. Here are some things you should know before renting:
The pictures on the listing are old. The car has body damage on the passenger side from a side swipe collision, and is missing trim on the driver door. The windshield has two small chips out of it. It is certainly not in "new" condition as indicated in the listing description.
The "free pickup/dropoff at LAX" is more involved than you'd expect. When you get your bags, you text the owner where you are. One of his drivers will meet you there. However, the driver also has to take you and your party to the 10-minute-away parking garage to drop himself off. If you're planning on using all the seats in the van, be aware that you'll have to carry an additional person for this part.
Additionally, the driver they sent was perfectly friendly, but spoke very little English. His driving style was also more aggressive than I would have liked, albeit not any worse than a taxi. He also arrived 20 minutes after I texted the owner to tell him where to pick us up, so there was some waiting involved.
This same process is repeated in reverse for drop off. You'll drive to the garage, pick up the driver, and the driver takes you to the airport.
To me "pickup and drop-off at LAX" means that I'll take possession of the car at LAX, not at an offsite facility I'm driven to. The owner should either eat the cost of the Uber for his driver, send a second car to transport the driver from LAX, or at the very least clarify how this works in the listing description.
The car itself drove fine, although it complained about needing the oil changed, and I got a low tire pressure alarm on our way to the airport on the last day.
If we return to LAX, I'll likely find a different option for our family.
The van I rented was great thank God it got me from point A to point B with no trouble. The only thing is that theres no face to face interaction,with the person renting you the car.... Only over the phone and by email"". But over all it was way under the price of a regular rental car so I can't complain on that scale..lol..but for the most part I will be using this website for future car renting and recommending my friends and family to try it out.
Everything worked out great! Got picked up by an associate in the vehicle and then dropped off the associate at a nearby location and took a few pictures of the vehicle to document it's current condition and then we were on our way! Will definitely consider Turo and Ekaterina for our next adventure :)
I was a little skeptical about trying to get the van this is my first time so you know you always have that little something in the back of your mind telling you something but as I went to go pick it up it will smooth as Ice.
The Van was what I need, I choose the Unlimited Miles, The Van have alot of room, and perfect for my family, thank you very much for your service...

For my first use on Turo/Turo, I was very happy. Easy pickup, easy drop off. Nice to be able to text the owner as well! Car was cleaned and ready for use. I would rent this car or any car with Ekaterina any time!
The vehicle was clean and in good shape. Drop off upon departure from our trip was nice and easy. The person dropping off/picking up was nice and helpful. However pickup when we arrived was sort of a mess. We were told delivery would be in 10 minutes. Ended up being around 40 minutes. Then got picked up in vehicle other than the one rented (to be taken to our car) which normally wouldn't be a big problem I suppose, but I had rented a minivan and had my wife and 3 small kiddos and grandma with me. So instead of getting in our car and leaving (as I thought would be the case) my family had to wait even longer (because there were not enough seats in what was driven to get me) while we drove and got the minivan and I drive back to get them. The main reason for me using Turo was to avoid the shuttling and waiting that normally happens with traditional rental agencies. It sounded like it was just an off day for the owners people, but it was a bummer that me and the fam ended up waiting over an hour curbside to be on our way. Judging from other reviewers this seems to not be the norm however. As I said, all else was great and as expected.
