Don't like the idea of paying for gas or polluting the environment? Have you been thinking about buying a Nissan Leaf, but wanted the full experience first? This is your chance!
The leaf is fully electric and has a single charge range of about 80 miles depending on driving habits. There are a vast number of charging stations in the Portland area, so with minor planning you should be fully charged while out and about. I highly recommend staying in the Portland metro area unless you plan your trips and charging stations in advance.
I will demonstrate how to charge the car, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the car.
The leaf SL is the highest trim level, so it has leather heated seats front and rear, heated steering wheel, navigation, premium sound.
The level 1 (plugs into any standard 110v outlet) charger is included with the car. This charger is great for charging overnight as it will take 22hours to charge from 0%-100%.
Level 2 (220v) chargers are located around the Portland area and are incredibly easy to use. The level 2 will charge the car from 0%-100% in roughly 4 hours.
DC quick charge chargers are less common, but they charge the car from 0%-100% in roughly 30 minutes. They are incredibly convenient if you plan to do a lot of driving.
I have a level 2 charger at my home and the car will be 100% charged upon pick-up. No need to charge the car upon return to the home destination. If you leave the car at a charger, please leave it plugged in so I can make it back home.
I highly recommend downloading the PlugShare app to find level 2 (220v) chargers or DC quick chargers located around the Portland area as well as those members kind enough to share their home chargers (generally for free).
