This is a manual (stick) car. It does great in all weather conditions.
The car is in good shape with a brand new engine and clutch installed in October 2015, with few bumps and bruises on the outside. Inside I keep it clean and free of junk. There are no foul smells however you will find some stains on the seats, but fear not they will not get in your way. The mats are all weather mats, so you don't have to worry about staining or dirtying up the carpet. I have a Bluetooth iPhone player/charger that you can use when driving (please indicate if you would like this). The music system is stock, but still good. Please note this has been my regular car since 2006 so it does have the wear and tear of a 10-year-old car. However, it still runs excellent given all the work.
Please note that this car is pet-friendly (feel free to inquire about bring your four-legged friend along).
March 2016 - New front end
October 2015 - New engine and clutch
April 2017 - Passed multi-point inspection
June 2017 - New tires
Renter pays all tolls or other related driving fees. There is a Good 2 Go pass which gives you a better price on toll bridges and roads (happy to answer questions about tolls in the area). Please return the car in the state you picked it up (if clean, please return clean).
Dogs welcome, but please return car clean. Seat cover available for dogs. No smoking.
2006 Subaru ImprezaJeff's Subaru15541
Jeff was great. His communication was awesome, and the car was perfect for driving around the city.
Fantastic old Subi, shows it's age, but still wants to go for a drive. A/C is chilly, seats are comfy and yes, the stains are apparent on the whitish interior. All things disclosed in the description from Jeff, pickup and drop off was a breeze.
Like most Subaru's, the manual is easy to drive and ultra forgiving. Gearbox is tight, it's been taken care of.
Thanks again Jeff, really enjoyed having your car to take out when Uber was going to be a bit expensive. I'll look you up again next time I'm up here!
There were a few snags at the beginning and Jeff sometimes takes a day or two to get back to you but he always eventually does. The car was fine, not super nice inside (stains and such), but it didn't bother me too much. My main complaints would be that he didn't know where he was supposed to drop the car off initially even though we talked about it, the back panel fell off on the inside of the hatchback so I couldn't use the hatchback for half of my trip and there was no window washing liquid and the windows were pretty dirty. The good points are that he did deliver on time, the car got me around fine and the drop off went well.
This car was exactly what I wanted and expected. I was home to Seattle for 10 days, it was reliable, fairly economical on gas and much cheaper than Enterprise. Jeff was great and gave me exact directions on where to pick the car up since he left it for me in the parking garage at the airport since my flight got in around midnight. For drop off I just left it in the garage for him to pick up. Easiest car rental ever, highly recommended!
For the price, you know you're not going to get a super plush vehicle, so don't expect too much. But you do get a car that is very functional, though it rattles a bit to remind you that you're driving an older vehicle. The struts or shocks possibly need some replacement, but the clutch and the brakes, as well as the engine, and ac system, are all working strong. The stereo was good. All in all, it's a guy's car, which is to say that it drives well, but doesn't have the comfort of, for example, a newer luxury vehicle.
The Subaru handled the mountain roads with ease and was a great asset on a trip to the Enchantments. Jeff was easy to communicate with and helpful with answering questions. I highly recommend Jeff's Subaru!
Very cool and fun car to drive. Jeff is aces as well. Recommended.

Good basic car, friendly and helpful owner. Jeff's place is just off Queen Anne Avenue, a short walk from the no. 13 bus route from downtown. There's a lockbox setup for pick-up and drop-off if he's not in. Our first Turo experience. Highly recommended.
Jeff was easy to work with as he was flexible and quick to respond. The Subaru is great. It's an Impreza, so it's peppy. My only criticism is that it has trouble maintaining cruise control downhill (ends up going too fast), but it wasn't that much of a problem. Would definitely rent it again.
Jeff was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. He made pickup and drop-off extremely easy and responded to messages very quickly. We did have a miscommunication that resulted in me overpaying for some parking during a hand-off, but Jeff jumped on the button and I was notified of a refund (through Turo) very promptly.
The Outback Sport drives very nicely and has been treated well. We spent most of a week driving all along the Washington coast and on winding roads at higher elevations in Olympic National Park. It never skipped a beat or stepped out of line.. just a great example of an enjoyable Subaru. We got strong fuel mileage and it swallowed all of our gear (several large luggage bags, carry-ons + a child seat) with plenty of room to spare.
Communication with Jeff was quick and simple. He was also very understanding when I was not able to return the car at the promised time. The Subie is a little older, but drives great. Handles the snow like a champ! Would definitely rent again.
Jeff was super easy to work with and made picking up and dropping the car off simple even with our limited schedule. We went on a trip to the Olympics while the weather wasn't cooperating, but we're happy to say his car handles great in the outdoors and elements as advertised.
The car was clean and ran well, and Jeff was responsive and flexible. All in all my first Relay Ride was an excellent experience, and I would recommend Jeff and his vehicle to anyone who is comfortable with a manual transmission in a hilly city like Seattle.
Jeff's car was perfect for our trip around Vancouver island. He was vey helpful with a notarized letter for the border crossing(we didn't need it) and his communication was above and beyond. The car is in the shape you would expect a 2006 model to be in. But it's very comfortable, clean and runs very well. Tires seemed newish and brakes also worked very well. My wife felt very safe in the heavy rains and mountain highways we encountered on our route. I would greatly recommend this as your vacation car to anybody who can drive a standard. Jeff's drop off and pickup schedule and area is a very easy self serve type of thing. We will be back to Seattle, and if it's available, we will rent his car again. Only complaint, it's a $35 über ride from the airport so keep that in mind when your looking at the rental!
Highly recommend Jeff to rent from. I needed a car suddenly and Jeff was willing to meet within a very short time of my first contact with him. The car ran like a champ, and Jeff was a great communicator.
100% satisfied user of Turo. Jeff was very helpful and quick to respond to texts, he even gave me instructions on which train and bus to take to his house. Car was amazing and perfectly described. Telling all our friends!
This car worked out great for us. Jeff met our needs exactly, it was important to us to have snow tires and all wheel drive. He responded quickly to our questions and the car was easy to pickup. It worked perfectly and was well maintained. Thank you Jeff!
