ELECTRIC VEHICLES ARE DIFFERENT, WITH UNIQUE FEATURES AND REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY.
This 2013 Nissan Leaf is a 100% electric, zero-emissions vehicle, with a range of up to 83 miles on a single charge (75 miles if driving at freeway speeds). It is not a hybrid and cannot use gasoline.
If you plan to travel more than 75 miles, you will need to make stops to recharge the batteries. There are well over 100 charging stations just in Seattle proper. Check the map here https://na.chargepoint.com/charge_point.
When comparing costs of rental cars, remember this: you may never pay a cent for "fuel" while driving this car. Many Quick Charging stations are popping up all around Puget Sound, which deliver an 80% recharge in 20 minutes. You can also plug in to any standard 120V or 240V outlet at your home, garage or hotel for an overnight "trickle" charge (a full charge costs $2 in electricity). So, compared to renting a gas-burning car, you could easily save $20/day or more to drive it - the more you drive, the more you save. Why pay $4/gallon for gasoline? Electricity costs only 20% as much per mile, and is often available free!
No need to "fill up" the LEAF before you return it - there are no refueling charges! Ignore Turo's standard verbiage that "You must replace the gas that you use." (Just DON'T drive 'til the battery is dead. You will need a tow truck!)
Experience the smooth, ultra-quiet ride of electric power, and instant 100% torque as the electric motor accelerates from a full stop. The vehicle comes equipped with heated seats front and rear, A/C, CD player, Bluetooth and USB connections to stream your personal music collection to its audio system.
