-No smoking. -You are responsible for all tickets, damage (if any), tolls, tow charges, keeping it safe when parking at night, clean, and I will maintain the car in top mechanical shape. -The car takes regular gas. -Return it as clean as you received it. -If it is a general booking or delivery, I require that the check-in/out is at a nearby gas station or public space. -If pickup/drop off at the airport is selected, we must meet at a public place nearby (most likely a gas station) so that we don't have to do the check-in/out process at the airport with all the traffic around. This is for your and my safety. If you do not agree to this term, please do not book my car.

Since we booked the car with Kim, he gave us a hard time. We live in China and booked a car with him a month in advance. We gave all of our info and we were excited to book with him because of the car package and the great reviews. Two weeks before our scheduled trip, he said he had an unexpected business trip and that this has never happened before. Kim said we could find another car, schedule for another day or find someone to pick up the car, days before our arrival. This is already making it very inconvenient for us. We were disappointed that we had to stress over this being as though his reviews were so great and our huge international trip was coming up soon. We asked if he could find someone to drop it off to us or put the key in a lock box or some of the legwork we feel him as the owner should do for the customer. He couldn’t find a way. We decided to do the legwork and find a friend to help us pick the car up. We did our part. He would take days to respond to us on Turo, so we had to call him and work something out. We talked to him about the pickup and drop-off at the airport, since this is included by Turo in the contract. He told us he had to check with Turo to find out if that’s true or not when clearly I sent him the screenshots of the contract. Kim said he didn’t mean to have that option, that Turo messed it up. He called and insisted we meet somewhere else for the drop-off. We paid for this service! We aren’t even getting the airport pickup that Turo and Kim stated, so we have to pay $40 for Super Shuttle to pick us up. Then Kim wanted us to meet him at the gas station for his inspection of the car because he would have to go out of his way to get an Uber to the airport. That’s not in the Turo agreement, it says pickup and drop-off and the airport, that was one of the reasons we booked the car. He told us he can drop us off at the airport if we meet him at the gas station before our flight. We had 5 huge suitcases, the point of us renting the car is for the convenience of driving ourselves with all of our luggage to the airport entrance. He said with an attitude, ‘The point of meeting at the gas station was clearly because its too busy there.’ That’s not my problem man. He also said he didn’t have a car to go back and forth with for a month, that he was helping us out, but he’s the one that listed his car and is getting paid($1,214) for it. As a kind gesture he gave us a case of water and told us we could give the car back on a quarter tank instead of a full tank. When we finally dropped the car off to him, he was very short. We had the car in perfect perfect condition as we dropped off the car. He was looking at every detail (as he should) but it was like he wanted to find something wrong. He said wheres the blue plastic keychain?, He thought we lost it, it was in the glove. After all that, he said everything is fine but the gas. It was at a quarter tank like he gifted to us in the Turo messages. Kim said, “Why would I say you could bring it back on a quarter tank of gas?” I showed him the messages on Turo of what he said and he nodded his head and walked away. I’m mind-boggled by the attitude he gave us. Kim always was short with us and gave us an attitude, he wasn’t very polite. Even when he dropped the car off to my cousin, he asked a slew of questions about his personal life, asking to see his ID, etc. We felt like we were treated unfairly and he didn’t do this to his other customers. We always felt like we were on trial and he never remembered what he said, we always had to show proof of our requests like we made things up or were untrustworthy. It felt like he was trying to steal from us.The car package is great but Kim was very unpleasant to do business with. We will never rent from him again.
