How does your airport delivery & return work?
Not every airport delivery/return follows the same format, depending on the time/day since I work a separate FT job. So when your flight lands text/call and I'll give you the plan. Generally I try to drop off the car at the passenger drop off curb and then meet you there for return. I can make any reservation time workable 24/7 at the airport but understand if its in my work schedule time frame Sunday thru Thursday 2:00pm to 10:30pm, we do the pick up/drop off from the parking garage or economy parking lot at the airport. Renters will be charged the parking costs for these times which are $3 per hour in the garage, $1 per hour or max $9 a day in long term.
I know that's alot of information and its a little complex but don't worry it works out perfectly 99% of the time.
How do I add an additional driver to my trip?
If you want to add an additional driver to your trip you will have to have that driver create a Turo profile and get approved to drive. Once they are approved to drive, you can add them to your trip by opening up your trip information on your Turo dashboard.
Unfortunately I can not add additional drivers on my end so you'll have to do it on yours. If you have trouble contact Turo support.
Does this V60 come with a ski rack?
Yes I have a Volvo ski rack for the V60 and it can hold up to 6 skis. When you book your trip make sure to state that you want to use the ski rack during your trip.
Do you have a carseat/booster seat available and do you charge for its use?
I have 1 new Graco Contender car seat and 1 new Graco Turbobooster booster seat available on a first come first serve basis. I do not charge for their use. If you would like to use one, make sure you request it at the time of booking. I remove and wash the seat coverings after each trip with Tide detergent.
How does the V60 handle in the snow?
The V60 is front wheel drive. It does have traction control and the best ultra high performance all season tires money can buy the Michelin Premier A/S. I have lived in Utah for 10 years and have gotten by fine w/o AWD and w/o snow chains. If you're a very cautious driver and are going to be concerned about go anywhere anytime capability then please consider a different vehicle.
I do not have snow chains for the V60 and I will not provide them. I do not allow snow chains to be used on the V60, if they are used you may be liable for damages they cause to the tires and/or car.
Is this car available for long term (30+ days) rental?
Yes, the V60 is a great car for long term rentals. Currently I have a monthly discount of around 35% off the going daily rate when you book for a month or longer. The 35% discount will automatically appear when you select the appropriate dates on Turo. I get alot of email inquiries regarding price negotiation but it is unlikely that I will go much lower since I set my monthly rates as low as I possibly can afford. You'll see that my monthly rates are some of the lowest on Turo regardless of car type and 50-75% lower than a mainstream car rental.
I have a flight into SLC that arrives late in the night between 11pm-3am, is the car with delivery available during this time?
Yes, I usually can accommodate most late night arrivals at SLC. I can also accommodate last minute deliveries to an address during late night hours. But if delivery takes place at SLC or anywhere else after 11pm I may need to hitch a ride back home with the renter to Salt Lake City since UTA Trax trains (my main method of returning home) stop running after 11pm.
Is there a specific amount of miles I'm allowed per trip?
Yes. The most commonly overlooked and single largest reason people have a bad Turo experience is probably the mileage. Every car has a specific mileage allotment based on the duration of the reservation. Make sure you know your mileage allocation before endeavoring on long trips. The Turo standard charge for mileage overage is ¢.75 per mile. I have never charged anyone at that rate, I usually charge at ¢.35 per mile. If you need additional mileage contact me and negotiate that as soon as possible.
Do you have any recommendations or additional information on insurance while using Turo.
In general I don't feel comfortable providing specific recommendations on insurance. But it is very important that if you are depending on your personal insurance policy or a credit card rental card insurance for coverage that you check with your provider to ensure that it will cover you on Turo specifically. Many insurance providers that may provide coverage for conventional rental cars may not do so for Turo. I do not have a commercial rental car policy I can extend to you, I depend on the Turo policy for primary coverage during rentals?
