A manual transmission in an Audi A4 is very unique and whole lot of fun to drive. Leather seats, Sun Roof, 4 door, immaculate vehicle, and a great car for a business trip or daily driving. Video review here. https://youtu.be/j4IRUPeE84U
No smoking in vehicle.
2012 Audi A4Jim's Audi15510
First experience using Turo and it couldn't have been better from my end. Jim was great and very easy to work with, communication was good, the car was great. Jim met me at the airport which was really convenient and helpful! I would definitely recommend Jim and his car to everyone in the Salt Lake City area!
This was my first experience renting a car with Turo. Jim met us promptly at the airport. He explained the unique functions (electronic key, parking brake etc.) and off we went. The car was quiet and comfortable for 4 people with luggage. It handled well, and was as fast as any sane person could want. Overall, the experience was excellent. However, there were a few small issues. First, the car could have been cleaner. I'm not saying it was filthy, but a vacuum and wash would have been appreciated. Secondly, some of the interior trim was broken. The little clips that the sun visors dock into were missing, and one of the rear seat belts would not latch. Lastly, there were overdue service warnings on the display, nothing that affected the performance of the car at all, but I hope Jim gets the car serviced soon since it's such a nice car. In all other respects I give high marks. Jim was extremely responsive and helpful with picking up and dropping off the car, as well as responding to any questions that I had. He couldn't have been more helpful. I would have no reservation renting his car again, and would recommend it to anyone who likes to drive a stick shift. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the stick shift in this car is fantastic, with a very short throw and positive gates. Lots of fun! Thanks Jim!
This audi A4 was a pleasure to drive! It's peppy and very quiet on the highway! Jim was also very courteous, punctual, flexible, and communicative!! It was a great experience and I would highly recommend renting Jim's A4!
First off, dealing w/ Jim has been very positive. Despite being busy in a demanding job + family, his response time is almost instantaneous. He is very accommodating & punctual. Having lived in Switzerland where the high-speed trains leave on the dot, Jim arrived in like manner at our garage & I was able to get through the SL & UT counties before the 'constipated' (German slang) snail-pace 'rush' hour.
As a recently retired geologist & ski-bum, I highly recommend renting Jim's A4 for a biz or pleasure trip. Will rent from him again this summer & in the fall, so, get in line, people.
Have been driving German & Italian cars, all manual, (BMWs, Audis + Alpha Romeo & Lancia Beta) most of my life. My daughter drives a VW Jetta. Back than in EU, no speed limit; to get a DL is very hard, expensive & takes 3 months of pro-driving school. I am used to driving 120-140 mph, legally & safely. The last 7 y we've had a SUV w/ a stick, too.
My point is that Jim's Audi A4 Quattro S is a precision hi-tech machine, much better than our last Audi 10 y ago. It is very comfy, quiet, taut handling, smooth 6-speed short stick, very elastic engine (most uphill grades are driven in 6th speed, i.e. great mileage, at least 30 mpg - Subaru fans, eat your heart out... ;-) - the back seats fold making for an easy access through the trunk and/or the back doors including skis & other long gear.
However, the 2.0 l engine is remarkably swift, peppy & powerful for passing semis on 2-lane Hwys, e.g., the steep, serpentine climb from Price. Word of caution, though, the A4 is very fast & the AWD corners great (no over/under-steering) & requires a firm hand & a focused mind in heavy traffic - think Moab - like a racehorse.
Lastly, enjoyed the sat-radio greatly in the 'middle-of-nowhere' after an all day hike & dinner, humming along to the great Am. Songbook; great fun R&R. Slept like a baby under the vast, starry skies of our surreal SW scenery.
There you have it.
