My first and last experience with Turo. Don't do it. And certainly don't do business with Souryma.
About the car:
It's a beater.
There are dents across the right side.
The body is peeling in various places.
The engine overheats!
The power steering is almost shot.
The windows don't do down all the way.
The tinting is peeling off.
The timing belts are starting to make noise.
You don't want to worry about whether your rental will get you from Point A to Point B, but this one worried me.
About the owner:
- He cancelled my option for airport pickup; told me to Uber it to his place, assuring that it was nearby and the Uber ride would cost $15. The Uber ride was actually $23 each way.
- Owner was 30 minutes late to me scheduled pickup time, ignoring prior text and phone calls.
- Owner was awkward, not particularly friendly, told me simply to leave the keys in the car upon return, because he'd be away.
-For drop off I gassed up (more in the tank after than before) as required, put the keys in the car as I was told, messaged the owner, locked the car up, left; owner leaves me an angry message he didn't have a spare key to unlock the car. Had to call a pop-a-lock. This is faulty protocol on his part and he wanted me to pay for it. Then he filed a complaint to Turo that I dirtied up his car (revenge call) when all that was left was an empty coffee cup with wadded up wrappers/tissue inside. Turo subsequently charged me $45 without any inspection to verify this guy's (bogus) complaint. Turo takes all of your billing and contact info to charge you but when there's any communication error or conflict, they're mum.
Great little car! Owners very nice and easy to work with.

Sourmya was extremely helpful and very professional with handling the rental. Her car was clean and in excellent condition as well as fuel efficient. I would recommend her for any trip you need to make.
