This is the worst experience I've had ever with Turo cars. I had this car for about 2 weeks and extending daily and kept communicating with Hameed throughout. Then one morning when I was trying to extend, I noticed there was a block on the day I wanted to extend. I reached out to the owner and he acted as if he had no idea about what was going on. He asked me at that time if I could extend more days than one and told me to call Turo to extend. When I called Turo, they stated another customer had requested the rental and the owner had to be the one to cancel it so I could extend. While on the phone with Turo, I reached out to Hameed because he already knew this happened and failed to tell me. The rep from Turo stated she also spoke with the owner and he told her to tell me to request another car from someone else. Really? So I hang up with her and call him and he stated he didn't want to pay a $50 cancellation fee so he was going to let the other customer get the car. Ok cool but guess what, since you lied from the beginning and not communicating that the car needed to be returned, I'm sitting at work and can't clock out because of this inconvenience. I explained this to the owner and he said he would inform the other customer to modify his/her time until after I get off. I didn't hear from him after 30 minutes so I reached out to him for an update. The owner acted as if everything was cool and that they would wait for me. So the day is going by and check my email. I have an email that the owner reported a late car. Of course I'm frustrated and upset because this now makes me look like the bad person and I'm just keeping someone's car. No, not at all! The owner clearly knew what was the situation and also stated he would not charge me anything once I got the car back! However because he has not properly communicated with me and telling Turo something different, I can't rent another car. So how am I supposed to get home 25 miles away? I expressed to him that once he got the request from another customer he could've told me ahead of time. He never would've said anything until I tried to extend. I even said to him to let me know what I should do before it's time to return the car. He had enough time to be honest and upfront about everything! This would have prevented a lot! To end this, I returned the car after work and he drove away with me standing there and suggested I walk to Walmart by his house. He said when he got back he would take me home. I waited for him at Walmart only because I left my garage door opener but do you think he took me home? No he didn't and didn't mention it at all. Never apologized for not being honest. On top of that, told Turo he would in fact charge me an additional day for bringing the car back 4 hours after the return time. Again another lie he told me vs what he told Turo... Still trying to get money from me on the low. Just terrible business!
