The car wouldn't run twice. First, when we went to rent the car on Turo, there was a line drawn through the fee for airport pickup and it said free. We clicked on renting the car because it was a decent price and we like Honda cars. But, when it actually came down to it, it suddenly said $50. I needed a good car because I needed to safely take my elderly disabled mother to visit my stepfather in the hospital, as he was having a serious surgery. At the airport (I didn't know the color of the car), Salmon drove up, gave me the car and left. I knew nothing on how to program the GPS or Bluetooth. I had to figure all out as I was driving away. The car did well Monday afternoon until Friday morning. I met a family member for breakfast, and then the car wouldn't start. Thankfully there are nice folks in TX so I was given at jump. I picked up my mother and took us to the hospital. When I parked, I had turned off the car but realized I should face out so I could get another jump if needed. But, it wouldn't start. I tried contacting Salmon for 6 hours with no response. I needed to get my mother back home! Turo and I both tried contacting him but got no reply numerous times. Finally, I told Turo I needed the car jumped so I waited in 99 degree Houston humid weather in a hot parking lot for the company to show up. Turo told me to take the car to the airport and drop it off but to photograph it all, text a detailed description of where the car was to Salmon, and leave the keys and the parking ticket under the floor mat. I did all of that. Salmon did finally get in touch with me saying he was at work and could not get the car from me. Later, I saw an email from him that said he was sleeping. And, another email saying to not leave the car at the airport. Well, I really didn't have time for all of that. I needed a dependable car to take my frail mother to and from the hospital and her own doctor appointments. I could not risk her being stuck in a hot car!!! I told Turo they needed to reimburse me for some of the fees for this car. I suffered a LOT being in the humid heat (I'm from the desert so it is hard on me). Salmon later messaged me and wants me to reimburse him for the parking fees but I dispute that. I would not have left the car there if it hadn't broken down on me twice. And, he still says nothing is wrong with that battery so he might rent it out again. RENTER BEWARE!!! Oh and there were footprints on the passenger windshield and the car smelled of marijuana smoke, which he apologized for and claimed it was the previous driver. I was actually relieved it was not cigarette or cigar smoke.
